Deaf Party !!

He ate his crate along with my TV remote. Twice.

I think he just likes a lot of human socialization and he gets lonely if we are out of sight even to just use the washroom. We've tried to puppy proof the house and the first thing I do when I come home is open the back door and let him inside so that he has free reign in the kitchen to the extent that his leash will let him or to go back outside if he wants (it's warm now so I can leave the door open). He loves hanging? out in the kitchen while I cook and is well behaved. He'll lay down on the floor and just watch me. He's *such* a beautiful boy and well behaved as long as his humans are around and paying attention to him. It's exhausting.

He's on a leash because he dug a hole, escaped out of the fenced back yard, went off looking for bitches in heat, humped two girls' legs and then got picked up by a caring family who took him to the pound the next morning where I found him.

I had him neutered 3 weeks ago. He's still humping the recycle bin like crazy but apparently that will ease with time.

Puppy class! Not only for training but for socializing the dog with other dogs. The pooch will want to play at the dog park.
The dogs get the remote because it smells like their human. Little dead skin cells fall in between the buttons and the dogs can smell them. Gross, huh? Try giving the dog an old t-shirt that you've worn for a few hours, especially when you're separated from the dog.

My border collie mix specializes in herding children. I haven't figured our the pug/pit bull's most important talent. I suppose that elimination of rodents is her thing, not that she has much opportunity for this. She's very obedient and protective. If anyone steps out of line (human, canine or feline), she always remedies that. lol

That is too funny. My nephew (who has 6 kids) had a blue heeler that would herd the kids when they were toddlers. It was so cute to watch. She was like a substitute mom.

We got that dog when my youngest was almost 2. I would put toddler and puppy in the big tub together. Fun & efficient! Gave toddler a plastic pitcher because toddlers love to pour. Good times.

:laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2: ur dog is gotta be "AD's Dog From Hell"!....But anyhow, I'm betting he is a "cutie" anyway, bad habits and whatever....He's smart enuf to "grab attention" from everybody, ain't he?.....

So, ur dog has YOU trained!...(so does my dog) but not to that extent...:giggle:....My Pomeranian chases the Geese whenever they come "strolling by" every afternoon...she runs them right back into the River, as if to shout..."Get outta' my yard!"...However, one of the Geese is a biggerr fellow....(maybe the leader or something)...and he chased my doggie right back home....

uhm nevermind, not sure how I clicked on the weather thread and got 'Deaf Party!!'.

Well - it's late Saturday night. I think it's time for chips and dip, salsa, guacamole, sodas, beer and wine. What say you?

I'm bringing a roast chicken stuffed with herbs and onions and roasted rosemary and thyme potatoes. Yum!

Oh and apple juice for grownups!
