Just responding in kind and you, after your below the belt comments about RD's child, should be the last person to comment.
And? Are you gonna stoop down to my "level"? Be a man, like RD said.

From the parent still arguing against cochlear implants twenty years after her decision not to implant. Let it go.

I have never argued against cochlear implants. You see what you want to see. It's okay. It is the result of having lived years in a state of wishful thinking.

And actually, I made the decision 22 years ago. And my son has made it for himself since the age of 12. See, I believe in empowering the deaf child, not deciding for them and restricting them to my life style.

Wirelessly posted

I do believe she have college educating as I believe every deaf here have one too if they say they do. Even Jillos son and Shel's brother.

Yes, he does. My son is currently in grad school and is also working a job.

The world does not revolve around you and your child. And yes, your insecurities are quite obvious. Your projection as well. It has all been obvious for a few years now.

Harlan Lane, the good people at NAD, and I all have credentials that allow us to make those assessments. You, angry man, do not. Anything you claim is seen with a huge grain of salt.

What credentials: a hearing parent who did not choose an implant and put the decision on her child, a hearing person who served as spokesperson for the Deaf until he was fired by them and an organization that did an 180 degree flip flop on cochlear implants for children to embrace a position we had been advocating for years.

How many children were denied implants and how many years were lost due to your "credentials" and "assessments" that have ultimately been proven wrong by thousands of childhood implantees who are now growing up, going to college, graduating, working, marrying and taking their places in the Deaf and deaf communities.

Sorry but what you call "anger" is disgust at those like you and the "credentials" and organizations you hide behind who refused to see and to permit deaf children to be treated as the unique individuals they are but rather treated them as pawns caught up in your agendas.

Oh, puh-leeze. Go rant to your audist buddies. No one here is interested in what you have to say.

From the woman who was not able to raise a successful oral deaf child.

He started with this insulting remark and has continued to insult people through the next several posts. Please do something with him.

Nawww, just give him rope. Plenty of it. What a jerk.

Not at all. The auditory oral path takes waaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy more work, knowledge and effort for ME than providing an ASL enviroment ever did.

Not about you. About the deaf child. If you want kudos for parenting, you will need to go to another site. The point is that it takes waaayyyyyyyyyyyy more effort for your child.

PFH claimed that choosing spoken language for a child is taking the route that is easiest for the PARENT. I was responding to that comment. It is not easier, not at all.

And you called him names, so whatever "someone does with him" needs to be squarely applied to you as well.

Disagree. It is infinately easier for the parent. They just tell themselves how hard it is so they can justify not putting the child's needs first.

Please chill out with provoking and attacking each other personally.
