its not worthy, but the new one I will be building AKA garage will be mine, this one will be hers for storage of her belongings...crap she wants to keep that Id throw away....lol

Yes being on the meds made you burn so badly. I was taking some meds once and had to stay out the sun or I could get a sunburn . You really have to read the information that come with the meds .
 
Definitely need to read the cautions on the medication you take. Like a lot of young girls do not know that taking some antibiotics cancel out your birth control pills. I told my youngest daughter this and you should have seen the look on her face.

Well, I was tanning out really well. Fixing the shower today I started sweating and my entire back is like tiny little blisters from sweat trapped under the skin... nice...lol
 
Bad news today, and Im really not happy about it either. Had a new inspector drop by ( The Big Dog ) and said I have to remove the roof now, says the old wood is too weatherd and needs to be replaced with new, ,,,,
Damnit, I just spent $700 on new tin and a sunburn for them to tell me this? I was walking on it and its solid, but they say it will collaspse under the weight of snow now... Im just going to save the tin and bull doze the whole damn thing, bastards!

I thought an inspector came before and said everything was OK, I do not blame you for being pissed off. The city hall can be huge pain in ass.
 
Yes, My inspector said just re roof it, this is his boss saying to tear it off and re do it... I got 2 people telling me 2 different things.
Not a good ending to my friday...which I thought was thursday....grrrrrr

Start getting their statements in writing and have them sign it so when another says something else you'll have documentation. If it comes down to actually tearing the entire thing off and replacing I'd salvage the tin and anything else I could to reuse but if it's cheaper to have it demolished and hauled off than putting a new roof on I'd do that instead and extend the parking area.

It looks like your inspector and his boss need to get on the same page , that is not fair to the home owners being told two difference things ,it can end up cost someone a lot of money to redone a job. Did you tell the big dog that your inspector did not tell that you had to replace the wood and that should count for something ?
 
Yep, but he over rides it all. There is no actual citations for this roof and Im gonna start calling the bluffs.

I could see if you where fixing the roof on your house and the wood was old but this a shed and you're not going to be living in it . I think it suck that you where misinformed in the first place and that is not your fault . The inspector messed up , good for you for fighting back .
 
Do you think your nasty neighbors had anything to do with this? Since it's summer will they at least give you extra time to take care of it? Sounds a little suspicious to me.
 
Yes, Im sure he does and I let it be known today. I asked about the city helping me and they said they couldnt, I didnt throw names but did mention the city doing some work for "someone" recently... so I dont know how deep he has his hands in the city's pocket, but I did let them know that I know they do, do favors for someone.
So, since I worked for the city ( not here) but I do know one its thrown up that they dont do too many favors after that, as they claimed today " If we help someone, then we have to help everyone" yep, well, come help me now, huh?

You know I gotta stir the shit pot some at least.

I was thinking the same thing . It's seem odd that big dog came out to inspect the roof after little dog gave the go ahead to fix the roof and not replace the wood.
 
Im gonna see if I can get in to see The Almighty monday and have a little chit chat of whats going on lately. The big dog mentioned that this shed has been like this for 8 years.... and they are just now saying something about it 2 years after Ive owned it? Nothing said during the initial inspection? Hmmmmm
Yeah, they are not gonna like my deck of cards comming their way soon, Ive been in this field too long to be pushed around, and I wont tolerate the games.
