it would undoubtedly damage his credibility if his wife pled guilty to perjury before the verdict.

We only heard one side of what happen that tragic night , so we'll never really knew what happen and Zimmerman made damn sure that would Martin would not talk ! Do you really think I give a shit that Zimmerman lost one lousy year of his life when Martin lost this whole life? Martin would still be alive if Zimmerman had let the cops do their job instead trying act like a cop.
I could give a rat ass about Zimmerman and did you heard his wife trouble for lying about how money they had. If his wife is a liar he sure has to be one too!

I have to disagree... Just because you're with, dating, married or affiliated with someone who lies does NOT by any means you are too. I dated a pathological liar for a good while and I am DAMN sure not a liar in ANY aspect! They were so good at it that nobody really knew. Eventually things caught up yes... but just because you're with someone who lies, cheats or steals does not by ANY means mean you're also a liar. I'm the most honest and up front person I know and I refuse to let people assume I lie because I dated one, that's asinine.

Another thing, he didn't shoot to kill. He wasn't shot in the head, or directly in the heart... he was shot to get him off... it wasn't like he definitely without a doubt went to kill him... You can't prove that, that's YOUR opinion, not fact.

Lastly, both are at fault, you can't just blame Zimmerman... I'm sorry, you can't. Logically you can't anyway, your opinion allows you to do whatever, but that's your opinion, not fact. If Martin wouldn't have come back around, he'd still be here. End of story. If he would have pushed on and kept moving, he'd still be here... But did he? No, he decided to go back and confront Zimmerman. Martin had a previous record with being aggressive and starting fights. Should Zimmerman have pursued? No, he shouldn't have... but I'm sorry, Martin is just as much at fault for going back to confront. Both parties were responsible for that death, not just Zimmerman. Should Zimmerman been hit with a charge? Yes, absolutely... but not murder. Maybe manslaughter or something along those lines. Florida over charged Zimmerman and that's why he was found innocent. If they would have tried him for manslaughter or something like that, no doubt in my mind he'd have something on his record and spend some time in jail.

the thing is... Zimmerman colluded with his wife and lied under oath...

I understand that... But I don't believe just because your spouse is a piece of work, than by default you are too. That was my point with that.

not quite the same thing.

they COLLUDED together to lie to court... his wife did not act on her own. so that's like saying - my partner robbed a bank and I was just a driver therefore I'm not guilty of anything since it's not illegal to drive.

No no no no, she said his wife is a liar so he sure has to be one too. That's what I was talking about >.< I understand what happened there and all that... I'm just pointing out what she said that made me irritated.

well - technically Zimmerman did lie. He spoke in code with his wife to lie to court about their financial status.

Simply pointing out that just because his wife is a liar doesn't DEFINITELY mean he has to be one too... Did he, yes... but I'm saying it doesn't mean he HAS to be... and doesn't mean he lied about what happened... That's all. I know about the case and the money lying and all that, I do know.

You should care. Our criminal justice system is established to adhere to strict guidelines. The same criminal justice system the unjustly tried GZ could one day unjustly accuse you.

Annnnd, given Trayvon's life choices, there is no guarantee he would still be alive today even if he had not met GZ. Too bad Trayvon didn't choose more wisely and run from GZ.

Don't you remember that the original bond was $150,000 and it went up to $1 million? That was his punishment for giving false info regarding his finances.

You and WDYS, get over it.

They'll both have books out within 2 years. Bet that will be fun. Ah yes, capitalism...

Zimmerman and his wife both knew how much money they had . So when Zimmerman's wife lies about this why didn't Zimmerman come forward and say his wife is wrong?? Zimmerman covered up for his wife so that made George
Zimmerman a liar too ! If person #1 help person #2 cover up a lie in court person # 1 is obstructing justice . And G. Zimmerman did that. The guy is not a saint like you think he is.

It's a felony to lie in court so it's a big deal!
George Zimmerman's wife pleads guilty to perjury

Lester ruled on June 3, 2012, that Shellie Zimmerman had "testified untruthfully" about their finances. She was later arrested on June 12, 2012, and jailed briefly in Seminole County before posting a $1,000 bond.
The wife of George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch volunteer acquitted in the killing of Trayvon Martin, has been sentenced to one year probation and 100 hours of community service after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor perjury charge for lying at her husband's bond hearing.
Shellie Zimmerman had originally faced a third-degree felony perjury charge but the court accepted a plea deal. Wednesday, she pleaded guilty to "perjury not in official proceedings," which is a misdemeanor. She also filed in open court a letter of apology to Lester.
Are you satisfied now?

I never said he was a saint... Don't put words into people's mouths. I simply do not believe he was a super racist who was out to murder like a lot of other people think he was. That is all.
