The Judge knew that the prosecutors did not have a strong case and that was why she allowed the jury to decide a different charge mid trial.
There is buzz now that Zimmerman will be brought up on a federal civil rights violation. It will not go far because the FBI has already concluded that race was never a factor.
Read dictionary "Chance" I said 15% chances means a little chance that he will lose in civil case as opposed as if he was found guilty, as oppose as if he was found guilty, he will almost likely certain to lose civil case.
In other word if he was found liable in civil court, then the court system is truly fuucked up big time, and yes OJ Simpson civil court is definitely screwed up! Meaning that the justice was broken, period.

Did CNN, Fox, NBC, CBS or ABC made report on DOJ to charge?
I'm more confident if major news say so.
That site is like The Onion. It's sarcasm and parody. It isn't true.
" Mike Vick did 2 years for dogs.. George Zimmerman kills a human Not Guilty ..welcome to America "
Someone posted this on line! We have just turned the clock back a 100 years! If GZ had shot and killed a dog he would be in jail!
The judge said the prosecutors have circumstantial evidence to allow the trial and Zimmerman's case is completely on jury's hand.
What is mid trial?
Do you have any article about FBI statement? I know NAACP made request and the DOJ hasn't say anything yet.
Yes, that why I'm hesitate to trust any small news.

Oh, what was the special occasion over there? Nassau or Suffolk?
"The death of Trayvon Martin was a tragedy. Not just for his family, or for any one community, but for America. I know this case has elicited strong passions. And in the wake of the verdict, I know those passions may be running even higher. But we are a nation of laws, and a jury has spoken. I now ask every American to respect the call for calm reflection from two parents who lost their young son. And as we do, we should ask ourselves if we’re doing all we can to widen the circle of compassion and understanding in our own communities. We should ask ourselves if we’re doing all we can to stem the tide of gun violence that claims too many lives across this country on a daily basis. We should ask ourselves, as individuals and as a society, how we can prevent future tragedies like this. As citizens, that’s a job for all of us. That’s the way to honor Trayvon Martin."
That means during the trial instead of before or at the beginning of the trial. It's short for "midway thru." Normally, all the charges are made before the trial starts. It's unusual for more charges to be added midway thru or during the trial....What is mid trial?…..
Only if it wasn't self defense. Self defense applies to dog attacks, too. Vick was using his dogs for fighting, which is against the law. He didn't kill any dogs in self defense.
You're comparing apples and oranges; there is no similarity in the two cases, and no analogy.
