Because their coach Mike Leach had high confidence in his offense so that is why he went for TD. Also they had average place kickers.
 
The Longhorns-Red Raiders game was oen of the best college football games that I had ever watched. The Red Raiders deserved a huge win last night. They got to face two more tough opponents, Oklahoma State this Saturday and Oklahoma on November 15th.
 
made sense abt PSU are still #3 cuz they got bye last Sat, so they gotta kick Hawkeyes' ass on this Sat!
 
I see, there isn't big hurt on Texas on BCS. Heh, I am so glad, it wasn't blow-up game over Texas Tech.

But... *moaning* I don't want to see UT face with USC again in bowl.

3:30pm on ESPN - * - need Iowa to win but highly unlikely

8:00pm - ABC - *need Ok St to win!

8:00pm - ESPN - hate BC! lol

Utah just keeps suprising me with big end of game wins :) It was game they should easily have lost, not that Im complaining. TCU is excellent team and it was amazing showcase of 2 great defenses here in Salt Lake tonight. It was freezing cold, but ALOT of good hyped up energy. It was great win against #12TCU.

I appologize for stating it was going to be on ESPN, I thought it was but heard it was on CSTV and not ESPN tonight.

Utah wins 13-10 to move to 10-0! Woah, I can't wait for two more weeks for the game here against BYU!

I froze my but off, but yeah it was rad. We had a 'black out night' with our uniforms- like Georgia did when they got beat. Everybody dress in black instead of red.

Ouch, Texas Tech stomped Oklahoma State 56-20! TT qb is a hot qb with 40/50 for 456 yards plus 6 touchdowns... a surefire Heisman trophy winner!

Hooray, Florida whipped Vanderbilt in the first three quarters, 42-0 (supposedly 49-0 but screwed up by review call on Harvin's play :roll:) then pulling starters out before 4th quarter started. Ten score was 42-14.

Texas and Oklahoma won soundly as expected.

So I would say the Top 5 in the polls would be:

1. Texas Tech
2. Alabama
3. Florida
4. Texas
5. Oklahoma

It looks like to me as if TT and Florida both wins out the remaining games, then those twosome will be in the BCS Championship Game, definitely. Florida - more likely cuz next three games winnable then play Alabama in the SECCG... not too sure about Texas Tech till after their next Okla game due in two weeks... also a Big 12 championship game.

Texas and USC both are out of the BCSCG picture, with no question. Too bad for them!

It was my guess before the BcS updated.

Actual BcS Standings updated today:

1. Alabama
2. Texas Tech
3. Texas
4. Florida
5. Oklahoma

Other three polls placed Florida #3.

PowerOn, you realize that TTU will play OU in two weeks and also Florida will play Alabama in SEC championship game so therefore those two winners will automatically enter in the BCS Championship Game. It's most likely a scenario.

So that would leave Texas out, unlikely... blame that to the BcS system! :dunno2:
 
I hope 'Bama's next game is gonna be upset... I dooooo realllly want the Longhorns to play in the BCS National Championship against the Red Raiders. It should be a classic game.

Anything could frankly happen but doubt that Miss State and Auburn could upset Alabama in the next regular games... both at Alabama field.

Only Oklahoma could stop TTU and if so, they could jump over Texas in the BcS Standing. IF TTU wins, then it leaves Mizzou to face TTU in the Big 12 championship game. See my draft where Texas stands in this scenario ahead. I would love to see Texas playing Florida but doubt so.
