Since you're starting to preach about religion.... I am going to ask you one question about him knowing everything that im going to do even before I do it... Whats the point of having an hell if everything was planned out?

Well first off, since He already knows your bad, He still needs somewhere for you to go.

And Secondly, He gives you a chance to change. People come and go out of your lives. If everything was set in stone there would be no point to living. He likes to give you the freedom to make choices and then make better choices.

I think it's "he knows what you're going to do", not "he's planned your actions". We were given free will. S/He MAY know what we plan to do with that free will. S/He MAY try to persuade us to do or not to do some things, but we have the free will to do it or not.

So, if everything was pre-planned, he would know I would change and such.. so why fear him. its like you're automatically destined to go to hell if he chose so from birth. That kind of fluff I dont believe in.. ;) Think about it.
 
Deaffy: Isn't the proposition - self defined cultural deafness just an exercise in ideology say like feminism or marxism. that uses over" 200 years ago lack of known assistance" to persons deaf? Applicable today with Hearing aids/Cochlear Implants yeah even ASL? Makes sense to reject all assistance learned to date? Right- got to be real! Life was "simpler" 200 years ago.Imagine NO computers!
Jillio has been trying to define deafness-silence- from NON PATHOLOGICAL sources. Does Google know? Perhaps from say- outer space/Mars?-- sshh secret!
Gee Deaffy do you "hate yourself" because you got an Implant? Not to be personal, of course. I been advised here that " self hatred" is necessary in order to get an Implant. Not sure about Hearing Aid-perhaps just a "little bit"? Shocking since my operation was in July/07 and was NOT a member of alldeaf.com yet! I didn't know this=nobody told me at Sunnybrook/Toronto!
All of this from Zebadee's requesting fellow members experience in getting their implant-amazing, isn't it?
To make this very clear I DON'T HATE MYSELF BECAUSE I HAVE A COCHLEAR IMPLANT. That was asked of me here in alldeaf-com--replied NO!

I have been BILATERAL DEAF-silence- since December 20, 2006-Just crossed 4 years. Lets face it- computer screen "screed"from the self defined "cultural" deaf crowd in a special category.
Like Deaffy says I am deaf also which won't be changed for the rest of my life. How one deal with this fact- is up to you.

Yeah Dr phil it is a bit odd to tell someone they hate themself for getting a device that helps them. Ahh well what can we do. I will never consider myself a hearie again. That was who I was 10years ago. I am a different person now. I am DEAF. I just have something to give me a piece of what I used to have back. If the deaf do not accept me for what I chose to do for myself then so be it nothing I can do about it. I know who I am and I know how I feel.

It's something that you become attuned to with time and practice (just like learning to play an instrument)

I play piccolo and have no problem whatsoever feeling the pitches at all - it's about learning HOW you feel them that is the "tricky" part which most hearing people don't "get" because they primary use their ears to listen to SOUNDS instead of using their BODY to interpret (listen to) vibrations :)

I've been taking audio classes. And based on what I have learned high frequencies are not that powerful.
These are the wavelengths for one complete cycle
(low) 20Hz - 56.5’
(high) 16,000Hz - 0.07”

Lows create much more force and vibrations because they are so low. This is why you can hear/feel a car with subs coming and you may not be able to see them yet. For once cycle or sound at 16,000Hz it only travels .07" which isn't far. Sure if you touch the speaker you may be able to feel it, but I'd prefer to just be able to hear them. Sure feeling them may give you a different perception of the music. But I guess you could just say i'm lazy..

You'd be surprised. ;) You'll get more in tune with your feeling. When I sleep in an apartment I can feel who is upstairs, who is downstairs, and who is walking down the hallway without seeing them. While sleeping in my bed I can feel my neighbor across the hall, two doors down leaving for work.. The only reason I can identify who is who without seeing them is having the ability to feel across the sound wave spectrum.

Thankfully I now live in a house by myself.

You should know that things like people walking and doors shutting fall on the lower side of the frequency scale. Therefore they travel further..

Yup I know. If they ALL were on the same frequency I wouldnt be able to identify where, who , what was going on. :)

Another thing for you to know: Many of my posts has "in between the lines" messages.. Its up to you to figure them out.

Actually I would assume that all of them are on the same frequencies and the strength of them is just stronger or weaker. Unless of course the people across the hall have a door made of carpet and walk on their tip toes. :lol:
