I just recently discovered the joy of cigars through some of my roommates. This is something I never ever thought I would actually enjoy. Just curious to see if there is anyone else out there who enjoys a good cigar?

When my hearing sister got married, one of the ushers were passing out cigars to the wedding party, and I lighted one up, :barf: It taste horrible!

no way and smoking is uncool.

Haha. "Uncool" is a subjective term. For the longest time, I had the mentality "I'll never smoke or drink. Those are for losers." I still never will smoke cigarettes or drink alcohol, but in a comparison of all things, cigars are pretty far down on the list, especially when only smoking them for social purposes. You don't inhale them, and they're non-addictive like cigarettes.

And Cheri, do you happen to know what brand or kind of cigar it was? Me and my friends almost cried last night when we found these wood tipped Strawberry flavored Phillies. On the way to the park, we were just sniffing the package, giggling over how exciting to try these was going to be :smoking: .

No I am sorry, I don't remember what brand the cigar was, But sure it taste nasty :giggle:

Why did you and your friends cried? Was it from laughing too hard? ;)

We were like school girls last night. Think of the first time you and your friends ever tried whatever social activity it is you do, and how excited you were about it. We were just looking through the gas station for the same peach flavored cigars we had smoked the week before, and then we found these strawberry flavored ones with flavored tips. Now we feel all classy and sophisticated.

Same here! but I like to smell one thru!

No way cuz I have asthma. I dont even want to smoke or be near anyone who smoke. *cough* *gag*. Blah!!!

I did some cuban cigars back then as theyre the best given it's farming location being one of the best in the world. It's contraband status in the US also adds to it's eccentricity.

My mouth has been watering all day here at work. In between calls, I've been pulling out one of these strawberry flavored cigars, and just sniffing the aroma. I can barely contain myself. ITS STRAWBERRY!

I sure did smoke cigars. Back then when cigs price had shot up, and I thought, gee cigars don't have taxes and its alot cheaper than cigs. So I bought it and I love it. But when it is time for me to quit, I find it almost impossible to quit cold turkey. I had to switch back to cigs before I finally was able to quit.

Soon, Im smokefree for 10 years! Thank god I quit, otherwise I would have been dead from cigs because my asthma can't handle this anymore.

My husband smoke cigars, I would suggest dont bother go there. He is addict to them and cant stop smoke it. Costs us alot money.

My uncle who passed away few years ago always smoke cigars and my aunt loves the smell but dont like to smoke. That just about it.

Yeah, my father and my sister's b/f does smoke the cigars. They smokes like just once one month or some times. If my father wants a cigar, I'll tell him to go outside to smoke!! :smash:

I think I'm going to be really sick after today. I finished off the vanilla and 2 strawberry flavored ones I had, and then after and excessively stressful day at work, I smoked a Black and Mild to take my mind off things, and ended up almost throwing up. I'm not smoking again for a couple of days. Like I said before, I really only do it every once in awhile with friends. Eventually, I'll give it up completely, but for now, I'm young and I want to live my life as full as possible.

As far as being harmful to my health. What isn't harmful to your health these days? With all the junk food, fast food, over eating, carbs, soft drinks, a cigar every now and then is just a tad more water under the bridge.

Cigars are nasty, I think.. but I'm a smoker on cigs though.. that's nasty too! The smell of cigars give me headaches!.. some smells good.. just depends on my mood!

Yes, it's same with us at my wedding. My Aunt from Tampa, Florida brought 4 boxes of cigars for every guests to try it.

Most tried except me... :barf:

Thanks cental

Where do you get "cigarettes are non-addictive" from? Why do you think people have such a hard time quitting? Nicotine is addictive. Why else do they have pills, patches, programs for people to quit smoking?

Unless you mean that they are not addictive like cigarettes are.
