Car accident

I'm jealous! Been waiting over a year to go to small claim court over a non-insured driver. I keep thinking why the wait but they keep telling me my case has not been set for court yet. I'll keep waiting.

Good for you, Foxrac that this lady had insurance and was kind to you. Best of luck getting an excellent repaire job.

Ouch, I know about how is frustrated with uninsured motors and sorry about you had hassle.

No problem, we have excellent body shop in metro and the car will restore to original.

Here in IL, the minimum required is liability coverage. Sadly, that is what I have. I would suppose that I'm too cheap to get added coverage.

Yup, same goes with Alabama.

The liability only cover other car that you hit them but it won't pay to fix your car if you hit or someone hit at no fault.

Are you under 25 years old? I'm 24 and my insurance is about $90 per month for full coverage.

Also, if you have auto loan so you are required to have full insurance.

Foxrac, was your car drivable after, or did it have to be towed to the shop?

It is drivable and doesn't change any performance with car.

but... 2005 accident - completely un-drivable and totaled.

you are lucky! safe! drive careful! Don't be next time accident, Make sure be careful aim! wise your make sure serious cocern control, you dont' want to scared or panic attack on driver!

The accident isn't my fault and there is nothing could I avoid because driver hit on me when back out of parking.

Thanks to all AD members above and I'm going pick the accident report tomorrow.

Wow, I will be extremely upset if drivers don't have insurance and I don't understand why some people rather to ignore the state law that require auto insurance. Having car require personal responsibility and comply with state law.

I'm glad that you went through without any hassle.
Some drivers even drive without licenses, registration, or insurance. It's dangerous on the roads. :(

Ouch!

I've been in two cars that were totaled. It's no fun.

I was in a third accident (actually, it was my first accident, a head on) where the car should have been totaled but insurance fixed it instead. It never was the same after that.

My other three accidents were drivable and fixable. (Not counting the road rage "tap" and the exploding window.)

Now you know why I prefer to take internet classes instead of commuting to college. :giggle:

My first accident was when my 1968 MGB had a brake failure and rear ended one week old Camaro, then my second accident, my 1996 Ford Explorer as show in pix above. That was it... haven't had accident after that. You know when I brought MGB and rebuild it from scratch, when I had accident, I was looking at my car how wimpy it got...totalled.. then after that I decided to buy bigger tough body car... then I felt better after I got my second accident... compare to my old MGB...I was under the Camaro.....

Here's the pix of my MGB

What a great memory.

Edited: Never mind, it's posted on other thread.

Yup, I remember about you lost beloved 1995 Jeep Cherokee because of car accident?

That's why I firmly believe every sane, law-abiding citizen should practice their Second Amendment rights.

How does related with road? She said it is dangerous for someone don't have registration, insurance and driver license to drive.

Is it ok to shoot at someone who unable to have car insurance, registration and driver license?

Check with state law as well and they are different from state to state.

What? Shoot at texting drivers, speeders, and reckless drivers? That's a bit extreme.

Hubby did have one driver threaten to kill him. That was a little scary.

I just picked the accident report for $5 today, just same as Happy Meal from McDonald's.

I'm going to make call about have to repair at body shop.

It's illegal for our police departments to charge for the first copy. They're required to provide the reports to the drivers. They can only charge for extra copies.

Oh really, is it state law?
