Broken furnance Part II

Furnace broke last night at my place last night. It turned out to be a bad ignition. It is working out ok now.

I would personally not put a space heater on floor. It would do better on table than floor. Less dangerous that way.

I hope it is fixed by now.
 
Hooray!! The repairmen have arrived to fix the furnace, and I am hoping they'll figure it out this time. Thankfully it wasn't 1 AM when I realized something was wrong.

Nothing beats wood burning stoves!

Hope you guys get heat system fixed! No fun to be in icebox!
 
Good lord...in those temps...and if my furnace went out...I'd head for the nearest fast food place that was open 24 hours or a bus station...even a laundrymat...as long as it was warm....

You Northerns must have "ice" in ur veins!...:giggle:
 
It does not look good. Looks like the furnace might need major repairs or replacement, and the size of the thing means it's gonna cost plenty.
 
Furnace are much likely going to fail at worst possible time. That is because they were overwork, overload, working constantly keeping building warm from frigid weather comparing when the weather is being mild.

If you guys are paying for the heat, be prepare and fatten your wallet for next bill statement for the heating fuel.

First of all, an update. Property management tells me they can't figure out why the furnace isn't operating, so they're going to call in the big-shot professionals. They will be here within the hour to try and fix it.

As for repairs, it'll cost the owners of this building plenty; we don't own the house, but there is a chance they may be forced to increase our rent to cover any possible repairs.

Yeah, I think I figured that out already. Five aren't fire hazards to this house; one is, which is why there is a fan directed at it, so it does not overheat.

If you're under contract, then it would be illegal for them to increase rent for duration of contract.
