Breastmilk or formula....

:ily: I agree with u katzie.. I dont know why people would ask that kind of question.. Does it matter? As Long the baby is being fed is all it matters... :grins:

I hear that breast feedings makes babies that develop better thinking skills. However, I also hear that breast feedings make stinkier poop!

:ily: Cheri! Glad you can relate! I totally agree with you... just as long as the baby is being fed and being held with tender, loving and care (TLC) will do. Never mind fussing over what's to drink or not - they're both good for babies.

 Vampyrox! Well, we'll never know for sure, but we can put up with stinky poops and be happy to see a happy baby with tummy happiness!

In any case, I was bottle fed and I did enjoy hitting my dad's poor lil' Irish head with my empty bottle. It's my way of saying, thank you! :thumb:

There's always the breast pump! If those ladies are concerned with doing it directly, they can always use the bottle after the breast pump!

I also heard that breast milk tastes like goat milk. Maybe I read it here and overlooked it! :dunno:

Didn't you ever try your own?

Everything Katzie had stated is correct right there....*clapping*...:ily: *hugs* and VamPyroX.. If u feel that breast feed is good for ur child.. then do it.. but that doesnt mean everyone else has to do it cuz its best for the baby.. Every babies are happy with what they are getting .. the baby is being fed.. and is growing and heatlhy.. My dr. never told me u should have breast feed.. It the mother's choice rather she wants to or not.. doesnt make the mother a bad mother.. I respect everyone Opinions in here but let not compare ok?.. *Thanks*...

Breast milk and formula are different. Breast milk--it just a produce from women' breasts. If you research about breast milk you would understand the difference between breast milk and formula. Formula creates by company... it is like to combine with some kind of vitamins as they are making a formula just almost like breastmilk. Breastmilk does help to develop their intelligent (to make them smarter) just a small amount than formula.

I breast fed all my 3 children and they all turned out fine. I did this because I couldn't be bothered to mess around with cleaning bottles and making up feeds. Breast feeding was pretty convienent for me.

Everyone has their own opinions and have their own way of feeding babies. I agree with Cheri.. as long as your baby gets fed it doesn't matter how it is fed.

Figures... I wonder how many women out there have actually tasted their own breast milk. I hear that it does your body a lot better than formulas or processed milk does.

I do agree with you about breastmilk being better over formula, but there are some babies who are lactose intolerant or just simply are allergic to breast milk. That'll mean they'll go on formula. Formula milk does meet the needs a baby needs to grow, etc.

I breastfed and bottlefed both my kids. Both have pros and cons. I believe each woman has to make the decision themselves. I don't agree with people pushing about what everyone should do. It is a personal decision. For some women, maybe they feel they need to breastfeed because they wanted to develop stronger bond, so be it. If some women need to bottlefeed because they cannot stand being with the babies all day long then so be it.

i was breastfed and it turned me into a milk machine...makes me want to drink more and more and more milk everyday lol...when i see chicks with big boobs...makes me think of more milk...*drooling*

lol anyway, breastfed is pretty healty for most babies...proably would give you more energy and better health than "regular" milk does

Makes you wonder about these guys out there who have breast fetishes! I'm a breastman and I don't remember what my life was when I was growing up. Maybe I was deprived of breasts, which is why I need breasts! :naughty:

Seriously, it really is up to you on what you want to do with your child for breastfeeding. I know some women who love it.

I am a mother of identical twin girls. They were born 2 months premature, "Candice" was 3 pounds, and "Faith" was 3 pounds 11 ounces. The doctor recommended that I feed them formula to help them gain weight.
Their bowel movements, was not any better or worse than a baby being fed breastmilk. Trust me I know, I've changed a lot of diapers.

As for their IQ level, I strongly believe that it has a lot to do with genetics and what you eat during your pregnancy. My girls were both potty trained at 26 months (including through the night). They are now 3 years old in preschool, they are more advanced than their classmates. They can read, write, count and so much more. I guess being a stay at home mom helps.

I was formula fed because I couldn't tolerate breastmilk. I've always been thin. My sister on the other hand was breastfed for about a year, and is overweight.

It is a personal choice, all that really matters is that your baby is getting the proper nutrients and love that it needs.
