My 97 Civic EX had 279,000 miles when I traded it in for my Civic Hybrid.
I have a 1991 Honda Gold Wing SE and it has a little over 125, 000 miles and my trike conversion guy said that if I take real good care of the bike, the trike (not yet converted) will run 300--500K miles! I was impressed but that remains to be seen. What do you think DieHardBiker?
I wonders if car insurance can pay off when old car is died.
yep today's engine can last that long... while old carbureted engine in the early years lasts about 100K or less. Since today's engine have computer control and fuel injected that help last much longer. Just like Sablescort said.. change oil, tune up, etc keep proper maintenace will help you keep it running longer longer. If neglected, it will give you a lot problems...
Also Diesels are known to last forever to million miles...
699420?! I checked the auction page and sure as hell there aint a close shot of the odometer. Only speedo shot of the bike is far that its hard to read the odometer to prove the 700k...Could be a a typo eh?
but then its peanuts compared to Irv Gordon's 1966 Volvo with over 2 million miles on it...
Irv Gordon
My car is only at 5% of Irv's mileage as of today (135,500 miles) and I just had the oil changed!
