Why would it be distracting? It should be concealed carry. And how would a student coerce a teacher into using the firearm?
As a parent, I prefer a teacher being able to carry. If they receive the training, and will protect my children from the crazy psychos out there, I want them to have the proper tools to do so.
I don't want them getting killed after they hid my child in a closet because they didn't have a gun to protect themselves. then, in turn, after being killed, the psycho opens the closet door to find my child, defenseless, just like the dead teacher.
But once the teachers have the training will they be able to shoot to kill? A teacher will need to be able to kill a mass shooter with one shot . I think it would be better to have vets in school , I would rather a war vet with gun than a teacher protecting my grandchild school . I know a vet won't have any issues with shooting to kill.
I don't know. Probably. Probably not.But once the teachers have the training will they be able to shoot to kill?
wow! one shot, one kill? that would stun even the most experienced police officers, SWAT, and Navy SEALs.A teacher will need to be able to kill a mass shooter with one shot .
I think that would trigger PTSD.I think it would be better to have vets in school , I would rather a war vet with gun than a teacher protecting my grandchild school . I know a vet won't have any issues with shooting to kill.
I think he means it lowers the probability the same way having a home alarm system sign in front of your house does--the bad guys will look for easier targets.
