Maybe you didn't get it the first time. I don't care. His opinions and views are his, not mine.

I think she is a sensationalist that enjoys bashing Catholicism. She isn't the first and will not be the last.

Rush Limbaugh is also a sensationalist. That is why he uses vulgar and crude language.

Just a change of subject, I found out that avacados reduce cholesterol and are a beneficial dietary supplement for good health. I am going to see what I can do to force my employers to buy some for me.

Its basic health care after all.

Actually, Bill Maher is the one who use vulgar, crude and crass language. What Rush says is mild to say the least compared to Bill's.

We are not concerned with leftist's double standard or Bill Maher or David Letterman or anybody else in this thread.

This is about Rush Limbaug's use of vile language and sexist remarks. Anybody else who did such thing should be shamed too.

Anybody who attempts to force a person of faith to engage in activity strictly prohibited by their faith is a socialist cancer.

Just for the record - I am not a Catholic and I believe women should have easy access to contraceptives. I also believe that does not make women a slut or prostitute - which isn't the "real" issue anyway.

Bill Maher verbally-attacked a public figure.
Rush Limbaugh verbally-attacked a private citizen.

weak. just weak.

She is a public figure now.

She is also a private citizen as well. Just because one was a public figure doesn't mean he or she forfeits his/her private citizen status once out of office.

quibbling around. Sarah Palin at that time was a politician and a public figure when Bill Maher insulted her.

and now... Sandra Fluke is a private citizen and Georgetown Law student testifying at Congress when Rush Limbaugh insulted her.

quite a huge difference. insulting a politician is one thing.... but to insult a private citizen like that in public is just plain damn mean and low.

And what Bill Maher and David Letterman did was somehow different?

Nope, don't think so.

And forcing a person of faith to participate in something their religion strictly forbids is ... down right dirty and rotten.

and calling a woman slut, prostitute, and round-heeled that was uncalled for.

downright dirty and rotten, do you agree?

Considering the actions of the person who supposedly was insulted ... don't really care.

I might care if he had made those comments about Mother Teresa though ... and she was a public figure. Or, if he had made those comments about Sarah Palin.

I don't think Sarah ever divulged publicly on wanting to have sex 3 times a day, every day for the next 3 years enough to "force" her to pay $3000 worth of contraceptives just to protect herself.

Uh, oh. Somebody didn't read the links. You see, No, Bill Maher also attacked her children. He's called his audience sluts, too. And he's made horribly misogynist comments about private citizens who feed their children in public, other wise known as breastfeeding moms.
Maher said of a woman who was harassed while breast-feeding at an Applebee’s, “Don't show me your t***!” as though a woman feeding her child is trying to flash Maher. (Here’s a way to solve his problem: don’t stare at a strangers’ breasts). Then, his coup de grâce: “And by the way, there is a place where breasts and food do go together. It’s called Hooters!”

He's incredibly hateful about women, clearly has a problem with them. Yet Democrats appear on his shows all the time and never utter a word of criticism, and Obama is comfortable accepting huge donations from him even though he makes crude and rude jokes about the daughters and wives of Republican candidates. I won't even repeat the nasty 'joke' he made about Santorum's wife.

And somebody who testifies before Congress is not exactly a private citizen.

I presume you were equally outraged by the media feeding frenzy over 'Joe the Plumber,' who was actually a private figure.

Rush LImbaugh apologized, which is something Maher doesn't do. I don't know of anybody who has defended Limbaugh's rudeness, except, oddly Maher himself, who said people were over-reacting.

The left doesn't really care about women, it cares about political points, and all the phony hyperventilating over Rush while ignoring the far worse things Maher* has said proves it.

(*And Letterman, and Schultz, and Obermann, and numerous others)

Some women on the left are noticing this as well:
Jehmu Greene, a Democratic strategist who is the former president of the Women’s Media Center, told me: “There are countless fair-weather feminists in the progressive community. Caring about sexism is important when it suits their political goal. Because the most important voting bloc for President Obama is women, as we head closer to November you will see these fair-weather feminists start burning their bras for political expediency.”

Regarding liberals going on Bill Maher’s show instead of protesting him, Greene says: “They care more about their friendship with him and their personal visibility than about how offensive he is. A lot of liberals wear getting booked on his show as a badge of honor when they should be repulsed by him. ”

Sandra Fluke never divulged that. Rush Limbaugh distorted Sandra's testimony as whore and round-heeled.

Transcript of Sandra's testimony - here. Now go find it where she divulged about wanting to have sex 3x a day, everyday for next 3 years.

Grayma, he never apologized for dressing up in a brown khaki costume with a stingray stinger coming out of his chest with a blood around it, making fun of Steve Irwin's unfortunate death with a stingray. I'm sure Irwin's daughter, Bibi, appreciated the joke. Maher doesn't care about kids, either....apparently. But, hey, Obama gladly took his $1 million dollars for his campaign war chest.

feel free to create a new thread about Bill Maher. and this thread is about Rush Limbaugh, yes?

correct me if I'm wrong - are you condoning Limbaugh's use of vile language.

You may not be, but others are.

It's exactly what this thread is about. Noting the irony (and hypocrisy) of attacking Rush that generated one of the largest audience in years.

Oh, I thought it was about the Georgetown Law student that wanted to force Catholics to pay for the $4 a month birth control pills she so desperately needed.

So apparently, that is not what we are talking about.

oh btw - where in her testimony did she say such thing like she "desperately" needed it?

Just a few quick questions. Did her unemployment checks expire? Was she referring to having sex with the same partner over the course of the next 3 years?

How was she paying her student fees?

I am just trying to determine how Rush Limbaugh came to the conclusion he did. As vile and nasty as his comments were ... were they accurate?
