Best thermal clothing?

What happen to the Long Johns that would keep the body warm in the Winter? My husband used to wear Long Johns for Winter for working and for hunting deer. Are they out of style? :hmm:

I had a red pair of long john that wore to keep warm in the winter. They had drop seat too . I can't remember where I got them. I bet the long john today aren't heavy as the pair I had years ago.

It was Mark who posted the picture. It was my idea for him to take picture for us and post online. My phone was out of battery at the time. I'm grateful that Mark agreed to do so.

Maybe I can try to teach squirrels ASL, but I don't know how feasible it would be. Ferrets would be better students than squirrels.

I am hoping to meet Derek again soon, as well, but with the conditions the way they are now, it's not exactly safe walking in some areas. May have to wait until springtime to meet.

Where?

I have some long sleeve shirts from LLBean company and am very pleased with it. Kept me warm at work and lasts me longer so it's worth the money... also with free shipping, that helps as well.

Then I'd best not go anywhere near Florida. And I can stay up north, well away from nutcracking ladies. I would like to live, and not be 6 feet under.

:laugh2: Relax, unless of course you give me a reason to... ;)

BTW,

for the fake coin bit. Think about it, even if counterfeiting quarters were done, what would anyone want to do with maybe 4-5 figures worth of quarters?

And I never intend to. I don't ever give ladies a reason to kick my nuts. I'd like to keep both balls.

It was made of metal. Looked real, but not enough to fool me. And it wasn't Canadian, either-- it had the Statue of Liberty on front. Dead giveaway right there

And the edges were smooth, too. Another sign of a fake coin.

You had a valuable WALKING LIBERTY and someone is laughing that they got it from you for free.

I will tell you this.... I worked for the Water Division, I worked on main breaks all winter long, in and out of the water below freezing temps, and I will tell you, if my life depended on me staying warm ...Buy Carhart coveralls with the jacket, I wore my standard levi jeans and t shirt , hoodie and I was toasty all winter. If you get too hot you can take the jacket or the hoodie off to regulate... those are my weapons of choice!!!! and if you are all for looks, got to a sporting goods/farm supplie store and buy the hunting clothing....will cost you a total between $150 and $250 for everything but I will gaurantee you that you wont be cold. I also wore REDWING 10" logger boots, they are Thinsulate lined, your feet never sweat (even in the summer heat) and run you $300+tax. I paid for my first pair and work bought them ever since yearly, but the boots are so well made that a pair lasted me 3 years, so sometimes sold a pair for extra money. all these items are water proof, warm, keeps you dry.
Gloves, you will have to shop around, we were issued FireFighter gloves, so they were 100% water proof, insulated and very heavy, I still have a pair that are new and an old pair I use for stoking the fires in the wood burners, they are like heavy duty oven mitts with fingers....lol

Wirelessly posted (ZTE X501 Phone/Asus Tablet)

Except the fact that it was none of the above. I'm sorry you don't believe me, but I am telling you what I saw. Now let's just leave it alone, and get back to the thread, please. I'd like to have a good night tonight.
