Best thermal clothing?

REI? or Army/Navy surplus store?

:wave:derek was that when you posted - or did Mark post - the picture of you two guys hanging out together? I was happy for you both having a good time:D

I like squirrels ok and I like most nuts...the squirrels are probably quite happy to get some free goodies from you. But it often makes them more persistant about getting food from people and getting into things they shouldn't. It's a kind thing but maybe not the best for the overall population of squirrels.
Maybe you could teach them ASL instead?

It was Mark who posted the picture. It was my idea for him to take picture for us and post online. My phone was out of battery at the time. I'm grateful that Mark agreed to do so.

Maybe I can try to teach squirrels ASL, but I don't know how feasible it would be. Ferrets would be better students than squirrels.

ahh, yes, it was a good picture and idea and nice of Mark to post.

You're right - probably squirrels could be too impatient and worried about their food holes, instead of ASL.

I hope to meet Mark again in the near future. Maybe we'll dress up like Eskimos and discuss what kind of coats we wore and share with the world.

do you have to get certain colors or styles, Frisky?

:wave:Reba, blink and ya miss it I guess....or we could all just play Monopoly....

I dress in layers to stay warm . Do you have an Army and Navy store near you , I know there are not many left , but I would buy my thermal clothing from their store years ago.

Yeah, over the years, I have shopped at Cabela's, L.L.Bean, Pro Bass Shop, R.E.I., etc.......

It costs more initially, but basically, it never wears out.

I buy my husband an llbean chamois shirt every winter, and most of them are still going strong.

(except the ones that met with accidents outdoors, or the one that was shredded by an enthusiastic puppy.) :P

Are you sure it was intended to be a quarter? Did it have imprinted "Quarter Dollar?" Maybe it wasn't supposed to be money at all but some kind of ceremonial coin that gets handed out at special events.

It had NOTHING on it-- that's a red flag right there. These kinds of coins do not belong out here, and should not have been spent. And it certainly wasn't a ceremonial coin, either.

No, not a red flag--it's proof that it wasn't intended to be a counterfeit quarter. It's some kind of slug or token or game piece or souvenir.

Except the fact that it was none of the above. I'm sorry you don't believe me, but I am telling you what I saw. Now let's just leave it alone, and get back to the thread, please. I'd like to have a good night tonight.

What happen to the Long Johns that would keep the body warm in the Winter? My husband used to wear Long Johns for Winter for working and for hunting deer. Are they out of style? :hmm:

As a necessity, it never goes out of style; well, ......maybe except for the back door.
