Eolson..I do hope both Boston and Tampa Bay can keep the Yankees out of the playoffs... I am really delighted to see how well TB been doing after these years of being a bad team and in the bottom of the AL East Division... I do think this is the year TB finally does it and get into the playoffs either way, as AL East Champs or AL wildcard berth.... wonderful indeed...
 
Its pretty nervracking though how NY is playing very well now, and TB Rays have slid a little bit. I think this adversity will give them a better shot in the end though, if they can learn from their mistakes now.

I will find out what is plan for Manny to be trade or stay with Red Sox until end of the season today. Hope Red Sox will keep him then thank him after this season....then RS will go out to find bright young player(s).
 
One has to wonder if Manny is being Manny or what, Max... I have read and seen reports on him lately and wtf with him? is he trying to get a rise out of the Red Sox or just shooting the breeze off?? LOL...

I sense it will be a three way trade between Florida, Boston and Pittsburgh. Florida sends three prospects or two prospects and one player on their 25-men roster to Boston for Manny Ramirez, then Boston will send two Marlins prospects plus one player or prospect from their organization to Pittsburgh for Jason Bay.
 
The Yanks made a great addition in Pudge Rodriquez who can provide leadership on the field and in the dressing room and hit and catch well since Jorge Posada was gone for the rest of season.

Yes, you are right about Eric Karros , he's now a commentator on Fox. I still, like him as an athlete and what he did with the Dodgers. I still root for the Dodgers even though they are big time losers :giggle: What can I say , they're my home team :)
 
I often find it disturbing when a team and player coexist for so many years of succes, just to let it go on a stupid dispute like in Boston with Manny.

I am mixed feelings about Griffey Jr getting moved to white sox. I think Im starting to sound old fashioned, even to myself!

My friend is going to be :mad: if Manny *pajamas*(her nickname) goes out. She's going to the Red Sox game in August at Balitmore.

Yes, Manny is feel like he is permanent piece of Red Sox. It is a shame to the fans if they trade him.

I agree, the fans will be disappointed for sure if Manny's traded.
 
How many managers could Manny play for? If you ask your players to hustle all the time, he is not your guy. But then my Astros have a few guys like that too.

Griffey is getting a chance to play for a contender. At this point in his career that is probably most important.

Yes, I saw the annoucement on the 3pm news on my local news station. I text msg my friend, she thought it was a rumor and text her back said, no rumor its for real. Yes, she's not happy about it. :h5: L.A. Dodgers Rock :)
 
I think he'll get along good with Joe Torre.....but then again I think it was higher Management he had the issues with. I think Terry Francona would be such an awesome guy to play for.

Have play college ball, but I am not good enough to play professional ball now...I've been out of baseball for while....do you think i'd ever take Josh Becket for HR? I don't :giggle:
