Bad Cop, No Donut

They may be very busy and get something quick to eat. A cop's job is not easy and the police has to become aware of the public's perceptions.

Oh whatever Heath, It still has no right to speed on the roads, If we can't, They can't. Just because they are "cops" doesn't give them all the rights to do whatever they wishes to do. We pay their salary, They are to follow the law, the same laws that is given to us to follow too. :thumb:

Then an ambulance will be called immediately. The investigation will follow shortly after that.

So you're saying that the police going to say Uh-oh I hit a pregnant woman cause I was speeding without having my siren or flashing on ,please send an ambulance.... :squint:

Can't they bring something from home or shop something before their rooster call or on break? Yeah right...

I already scolded to the police officer for curving too fast by my home when I crossed with my 4 years old son. What did he do when he saw my :madfawk:? Nothing....

Police responding to emergencies raise all kinds of legal concerns. The police deptartment tries their best to have everything covered with manuals , procedures etc. The city takes care of the insurance.

Some police officers may stop to help but if the emergency is life and death then he will have to call an ambulance then speed to the violent life and death situation rapidly delevoping. I know it seems cold.

Ha..ha..ha... That's good one, Heath. City/county commissioners do not like to pay increasing insurance rates. They do scold to their police chiefs/sheriffs to watch out the insurance rates or no new police toys..

Cops are on break a lot, I've seen them everywhere, Snow-white donut place, Fast food restaurants, hometown buffets, I've seen them sitting in the street parking lot, or highway lot talking to another cop in another cop vehicle I don't buy this "They're so busy cops" ;)

They may be planning stragetry while sitting & talking in their police cars and not use the c.b. because drug dealers may be listening on the scanner or they may be meeting another cops from another deptartment to get something to eat and get to know each other personally to become more stronger then go back to headquarters then discuss and work the case.

An officer traveling at a high rate of speed with no lights and sirens is technically not an emergency vehicle (in Maryland anyway). If you see an officer driving irradically, then write down the vehicle number or tag number and report them. Sometimes the emergency equipment is turned off when rolling up on a scene, but besides situations like that, there is no reason for a cop to be driving like an a-hole.

Cheri, an officer's vehicle is his office. Why is there a problem with officers stopping for lunch (we get no lunch hour or breaks)? Its funny, people will complain about cops sitting there and 'doing nothing' but they get crappy when the officer pulls them over for speeding or something. Either you (not you Cheri, but the public in general) don't want us parked somewhere or you don't want us out on the road.

BTW, whats with all the anti-police threads lately? I'm starting to enjoy them but it is getting a little old. I've been here at AD for awhile and many people here know me and the kind of person I am. I do take the attacks somewhat personally (Yeah Mookie...I do take it personally when I come to AD and its nothing but you stirring crap with me....I guess that means that you are winning...feel good?).

It's always the policemen against the citizens' words. People above law always get away (IMHO)
Years ago an off duty cop tried to beat the red light - made a left turn and hit both of my parents. The off duty cop blamed my parents for not looking both ways before crossing the street. RME!!

Ha..ha..ha..

You are totally wrong. My friend told me why does the cop always park in general area. I told him that he probably do the paperworks. Or he has to meet the traffic violation quota or risk his career while waiting for the moving vehicles.

What made you think I am trying to win? I dont think so.

If you are a truly cop, see me and I will give you a fresh donut.

No body is so perfectly...

It's not that Taylor, It just that whenever there a problem like when two guys were arguing in a restaurant, the cops just sit there and eat their lunch instead of getting up and handle the situation, What about when someone was speeding on the highway and two cops just sitting in their vehicles talking to each others. How long are they on breaks, How many breaks do they take? ;)

Thank you! :thumb: I knew you'll see my point and how I felt about that. ;)

Nope, the cops have right to be on break. Does any doctor assist person choking or having heartache while having dinner? The answer is that they do not have to save their lives...

They have done it, I've seen an off-duty doctor ran to help this fallen person who got hit by a vehicle while walking across the street in the rain. ;) I've also seen a nurse went over to a pregnant woman at the airport and asked her questions when she was having pains, she was only 5 months pregnant. If they see someone in needs they go their way helping them out. They are proud of what they do, That's why they love their job to help save lives. ;)

The cops may be answering a domestic violence call with no sirens on then speeding to the house to save the woman's life.

The cops are obligate to use sirens when there're emergencies, same as ambulance, firemen, emergency doctor... We (drivers) are obligate to move to let car with sirens free to drive speed... I will pay penalty fine if I didn't move and let car with sirens free to drive through...

I can understand how scary you are.

Simple is take police car number and write down what's time and which road the police drive and then report city police department.

Do you mean your parent are walker? If yes, but it's off duty cop's fault, not your parents... The drivers must watch people walking before they drive.... not blame walkers.

*sigh*
