That’s like pouring sugar on the ground to drive the ants away. Now EVERYBODY is going to click on it.
So true

Not true for me.That’s like pouring sugar on the ground to drive the ants away. Now EVERYBODY is going to click on it.
I believe it's real. I just meant that I think it's possible that the video was made without permission. Maybe someone snuck a camera phone into the hospital. It didn't look "official" to me. What legitmate reason would there be to post the baby's image on the web?I tried google to find another story similar to this one, but I didn't find any, wondering if this whole thing is fake?...hmmm..
Not me, I don't click on bloody things....

Heath will verify that at first I didn't even want to click on the video when he requested that I listen to it, and interpret it. It was only by his request that I opened it. And then, I focused on the audio.
Actually Eve, Kingofnoobs is correct. This baby's condition could have been prevented with some folic acid in the diet. It's a tragedy that was preventable.

The video would of not clean if someone use camera phone... See the example of Saddam Hussein's Execution. It look like that the doctor accept someone to film him and his talk? Someone would sue doctor if it's not official.
And just what makes you think this mother didn’t eat her veggies? Bit judgmental, eh?KINGOFNOOBS said:Ok maybe this condition can't be prevent. Fine. But still it is recommendable for all pregnant women to eat lot of vegs and be on folic diet.
I have a friend who was born with spina bifida, not because her mother did not partake in enough folic acid during her pregnancy, but because her body did not readily absorb and make use of the folic acid she did consume. These days, most women in developed countries do take supplements so that lack of folic acid is not an issue. Still, some congenital defects still occur and are not preventable through simple measures such as taking folic acid supplements. So, we have no idea what the circumstances were in this case and all we can do is quit jumping to conclusions that it was the mothers fault and simply sympathize with the situation as it is.deafskeptic said:Actually Eve, Kingofnoobs is correct. Actually, it’s not bloody at all. But it is VERY strange looking. BTW, your new avatar is cool. Where did you find it? I want to see the full-sized picture.

I didn´t see the judgement of Kingofnoobs´s post but his suggestion.

I know of several cases where the mother did everything right, eat healthy food, follow doctor instructions, she does not smoke or drink and stays away from secondhand cigarette smoke or use illegal drugs etc. in another words she was the perfect poster girl for women who are pregnant and staying healthy for the sake of their babies then 9 months later, the baby comes out deformed even though the mother did everything right so you really can't be pointing fingers at the mothers,
Yes I aware it.
Nobody point fingers at the mothers
Nobody point fingers at the mothers here...
I also know some mothers who have done exactly the opposite, they drank, smoked and did drugs and pigged out on junk food etc, yet their babies turned out healthy.
Not all...
I think and suspect it has more to do with the woman's body chemistry and her DNA also how her body affects the baby.
Well, I've no clue what the situation is like in Turkey and I wasn't saying it was the mother's fault. Perhaps she couldn't afford a decent diet.
I agree that some congenital defects can happen despite all precautions. I merely thought that lack of folic acid was the most likely cause.
If mom was diabetic, she does have a higher risk of having a baby with a defect like the one in the video than a mom without diabetes.
While fathers can pass on defects to infants, this defect isn't one of them.
You do have to feel sorry for the family.
