Okay, umm...cuz I wanted to have IM to make call thru relay service like SIP Relay (relay service) etc.

any third party IM applications on any mobile like WM or BB or Iphone can work fine with relay service like HOVRSIM or IP RELAY. etc.
 
After July 11th, App Store will appear on iPhone and can download free AOL IM software... I already mentioned that with links in other iphone thread...

Yesterday, I went to AT&T to do credit pre-check to see if my credit is ok to buy iphone 3G on friday. It was so weird!

I met a lady rep. and asked her that I want to do credit pre-check in order to buy iPhone 3G on friday and showed her the iReady checklist paper that I printed from AT&T website.

So, she went ahead and said she will get me a free phone to make things smoother on friday and did credit check then created a account for me (seems my credit check went OK and does not require deposit) and activated the sim card for the free phone (Nokia 2610) I told the lady I do not need this phone, I just wanted to do credit pre-check.

But the lady says, it helps to make things go smooth on friday. I just bring the free phone and packaging and receipt back on friday then get iPhone 3G. No restocking fee or upgrade fee just no charge... Just that after I bring them back, I will be ready to pay iPhone and the sim card will be transferred to iPhone 3G then walk out.

Since I have AT&T account now and my sim card is activated then tomorrow I'll go see my doctor to sign the TAP form so I can fax the form to TAP on friday so my plant will go from 90 to 40 in a short time. So I am iReady! but I didn't want Nokia 2610 ugh... I didn't expect a free phone to swap it for iPhone 3G. I think that's waste because the box is opened and my new phone number is scrawled on the box and battery is popped in from plastic. so when I give the free phone back, what are they going to do with it? It is being used now and not NEW.

anyway I looked around the net and found that there were few who did get Razor or other phone that is like less than 199 bucks but when the go thru the credit check just before the final step, the rep tell the customer, your credit check out ok and no deposit is required then the sale is cancelled and the rep says the credit check result stays in the system for 30 days so customer can come back on friday and skip the credit check by giving the rep the reference number.

So maybe the lady was supposed to do that and not actually open the box and give me the phone!

Oh well! What is done is done so for now I look forward to Friday for the iPhone 3G! whoo! ( I thank the US Government to cover the expense of the new iPhone with the tax stimulants check :D :thumb: ) LOL

So anyway, did any of you do the iReady checklist?

Hello Boult, I don't seems need iReady due existing att consumer and getting ready for iPhone 3G on Friday but I will be here so earlier to have camp out in around much late night. My rep is man and my credit is fine, no deposit required and my account is already on it in long time ago, I have sim card in zip bag and just hold for iPhone 3G, att rep pulled sim card out after returned blackjack II in last week ago.

I'm not quality for subsized iPhone 3G due existing att consumer with different phone, previously was blackberry 8820 and now, it's died due accident. I have pay $500 for 16 GB iPhone 3G with reset the contract to 2 years again, I'm not complain about this price.

I have something that don't want say in public, Boult, please check PM.

Edit, I will try on iReady, thanks for more detail.
 
Update, I asked other att rep about iReady since my att rep don't here today, he said it's pointless and just arrive at early, he said arrive at 7 am on Friday's morning is recommended.

I think that iReady would helpful for new customer.
 
There is no TAP or unlimited plans for the iPhones in Australia and it is bloody July 11th today!

Your country dont have TAP for any mobile. Do you know what s meaning with TAP?

All deaf customers better wait to get new 3G iphone later if ATT may approve TAP for deaf customers to purchase. No rush !

Not for me, I have goes to new iPhone 3G tomorrow for some reason.

The contract for my old SK3 will expire in Aug but will terminate the service on same day as expire day and I have goes to get new phone so quickly as possible, no more tmobile, 2004-2008.

Like other thread said, my BB had been died during accident and not want charge $400 on bill for replacement.

It's not big deal for me, I know NCCD will adopt it in later, maybe few month.

I mean iPhone 3G yes, and no we don't have TAPS in Australia at all. Only have unlimited text plan for Sidekicks :roll:
