AT&T TAP plan - tethering support?

3 years ago, there wasn't iPhone or movies with CC :hmm:

3 years ago is old news, man.

I'm talking about 2009.

It's only $5 extra over many att phones and they charge $65 on unlimited data and tethering for all phone, except for iPhone that cost $5 more.

It's still cheaper than Verizon.

I consider to buy iPhone 3G S but I m waiting to listen that AT&T may be lower data plan for iPhone. Roger Canada's iPhone 3G/2G s data plan at $30 including tethering. suckers..

Same here, iPhone 3G S may be at its best yet. Nothing can top it like iPhone can. But we have one of the worst carrier to offer at a high price: AT&T. You sucks.

maybe yo can go to Canada and buy one then come back to USA?

Hello folks,

Does AT&T TAP plan support tethering (PAM)? I have Sprint Relay Data plan that supports tethering with my 8703e. Thanks!

Tim

the lately one, Sprint with Palm Pre doesn't support tethering.

tmobile sucks, man.

att is cheaper than Verizon for pricing and plan.

True but AT&T's $70 for tethering plus TAP? Don't you think it's a little rip-off on AT&T's part?

It's not TAP, this price is applies for regular customers.

TAP never offers tethering plan to deaf customers but you can use so unauthorized at less than 5 GB without overcharge.

Tethering plan is ALWAYS cost more, all phone from att cost $65 for unlimited data and tethering in combined, for Verizon, if you want tethering on BB or WM phone will cost $30 extra, means $45 for unlimited data and $30 for tethering, $45 + $30 = $75.

So in theory, I would pay 65 dollars for unlimited data with tethering? So this plan apply to iPhone 3G S?

iPhone 3G cost $5 extra for tethering, $65 for rest of phone, yup, it does included unlimited data and tethering.

Tethering is limited to 5 GB like all wireless carriers.

That would make it $70 plus taxes and etc... :eek3: With that being said, this is not part of TAP?

Yup, it's not part of TAP.

I'm surprise that att said they haven't make announce about tethering yet, hard to trust att because I think att will offers tethering in last year but never happen.

Too much cost for both data and tethering. I had heard that AT&T considering cheaper data plans for iPhone to launching this summer.

I have been using TAP for over 2 year now. I was one of the few first customers on TAP plan when they released the plan.

I had tethered off and on during my travels for over 2 years and never gotten charged extra for it or heard any complaints from AT&T about it.

I don't know if it part of the TAP or not.
