Ask Red~Rum and Liebling:-))) anything

RedRum and Liebling, I've come to really appreciate your friendship across the forums because of how you debate. There was a controversial topic that got you both debating a lot to the point that I thought you both were arguing. I was genuinely concerned about your friendship. Liebling was a darling and told me that you both cared so much and it was normal for you both to do it. Oh boy, I felt like a fool for worrying so much like a Mother Hen with her head unscrewed loose! :giggle:

We don't always keep in touch often after all those years, because we have busy life to lead to bring up families and back in olden days we only contact through snail mail which slowly dwinded to less and less.

Then we bought ourselves fax machines and it was always long pages each.

Since we both finally buy computers, we contact each other pretty much every day with shorter messages but know we can be online to chat.

Perhaps I think the long distances between us helps keep us friends longer, who knows?

We have clashed before because we see each other daily when we shared an apartment but we have always cared for each other.

You and others may notice, we have debated alot about CI but we view it differently and at the end of the day we are STILL friends despite our different views.

We can argue but get over it quickly and still be friends. Lucky aren't we???

We met at college for the first time from our different high deaf schools.

Interesting question...

Well, I would say it´s cultivation. Example of all: Pay attention to flowers, plants, garden, family etc to keep them grow healthy. It´s same example with our friendship.
You don´t have to write everything into long pages when you have hardly time. It would make you tooo tired to write everything like this to keep the friendship often. That´s why we didn´t do it.
(I am lazy writer lol but she knows I didn´t forget her since I was pretty busy with my life as same as she do with her life, too). It´s important to know that we didn´t forget each other.
Well, what we did to keep our friendship long is kept in touch each other by send short messages. I´m happy & satasify with those short messages because it shows that she didn´t forget me until we have time then write everything with the news until we bought fax machines...
We contact each other quite often through fax. I can fax her anything what I like during good or bad day until we bought computers.....
We emailed each other almost everyday with short messages through computers. I would say that I prefer computer because I feel she´s here with me when we are on line to chat.
That´s what I mean about "cultivation" is take care of our healthy friendship. :P

Lucky is we often admit our mistakes which it´s good to keep the friendship because we know that nobody are prefect... :P

It would be bad if we are too pride to admit our mistakes...

I married when I was 22 years old & my husband was 30 years old after see each other for 13 times..
Yes, This is our first marriage. :lol: We are still married ....

Yes, I was 24 and hubby was 25 years old after one year long engagement, and we are still together.

Can you both speak with ur voice or just use signs or both? What do you normally use ur voice or sign the most at home? I am also wondering are ur Children deaf or hearing? How many Children all together for you both? and Ages of Ur Children?

Which Child that you have was easy during ur time in Labor? and Why?

- My speech is not 100% excellent for anyone to understand! :lol:

- I use sign to my hearing hubby and 3 daughters BUT I must
use my voice because they claim it's easier to understand. If I'm in other
room, I shout to them, they understand me well. My parents and sisters
don't understand sign language, and I'm using oral to them.

- I don't use voice if I'm using sign language to any deaf people - depend my
mood lol.

- All of my three girls are hearing and their ages are 14, 13 (next month) and
10.

- I'd say my 3rd baby is the easiest labour because Obs/Gyn discharged me
after 2 days in hospital, and the other two babies I stayed in hospital for 7
days each!

I use DGS (German Sign languages) to my hearing boys (11 & 8 years old) BUT I do use my voice or without voice when I sign with them... I must admit that I'm the same as Sabrina (“monkey” voice ha ha ha). :P My sons understand my voice or without voice with no complication because they were raised up to learn from us automaticly... They are familiar with deaf & hearing world.
I also use paper & pen at hearing world but with my co-workers is the different because they know my voice & also body gesture for a long time since I work with them for 18 years. One of co-workers, I am closed to can do DGS well...

I use without voice mostly when I use sign language to any deaf people. Sometimes with voice...

Well, there´re some good or bad advantages between C-Section & Natural birth. I would say my 2nd is much better. I had bad time with my 1st son. My 1st son was delivered by C-Section after 36 hours labor pain. They must do to save my or my baby´s risk life. My 2nd son was delivered by natural birth after 5 ½ hours labor pain.
 
oh Boy Liebling:))), 36 hours in Labor?? I pity you sweetie....

Can u both tell me the ages of both of your children? and what grades are they in do they go to public schools or Private schools?

Does ur husband work for a living? and do you both work for a living too? What does your husband do and yourself do as in a job?

You both are Cool Friends to have...:)

I think that all of my questions for now....*thinking of more later* :P
