I don't even know if anybody is interested in getting to know me better but oh what the heck :D I might just as well give it a try...

I though might choose to refuse to answer inappropriate or too private questions! :cool2:

No I don't have cats now but I love cats! I used to have two cats when I was little :D

No I haven't. I am hearing and only got recently (ever since joining the board) *interested* into the deaf culture. :D

Yes we are both fully hearing. I don't know any deaf people. I have a friend who is HOH and is wearing hearing aids on both of her ears but she has moved to Israel two years ago. I only correspond with her now through emails... I never questioned her abilities when it comes to her HAs... I just know that it is cogenital within her family. It has never been an issue to me when it comes to our friendship and I never bothered to ask her questions about it.

That would be awesome to see. I know a former classmate(hearing) who did go there and took a tour of the school. I am not deaf myself, I am deaf by friends:D

Hmm... good question... :D I think I must have googled for "message board for the Deaf" or something ;) So I lurked around, then after two weeks, decided to sign up and lookie... I got over 1000 posts already and that since mid-january :roll:

yea what made you think of "deaf" in the first place? why am i asking, because i have seen somewhere of your posts that you haven't meet anyone who is deaf and using ASL. if i am not mistaken. that is SO cool! :D
 
did you decide to join because you was interested in your deaf friends?

what made you want to join?

i think its cool you want to learn more about deaf people, there is not many people who would do that and learn how to talk and communicate with us deafies
 
I am writing a fanfiction with a deaf character so I needed information :D and also learn what it means to be deaf. Ok, might not know what it is like to be deaf but I guess you get the picture ;) I have had lot of people helping me out with questions and I thank them so much for putting up with my silliness and my unknown knowledge of the Deaf Culture! But I am getting there :D
