With Romney as President I'm sure this law will kick into high gear rather than have a foot-dragging govt.
Wow, what's wishful thinking.

Re-read post #73. # 4 - transportation only (one way trip) - $1,000 per person to be transported back to Mexico so that doesn't include court fees which is # 3 - legal proceeding - $817. Food and shelter is # 2 - detention - $3,355.
Four stages of deportation process: apprehension, detention, legal proceeding and transportation
yes... part of their incomes are withheld for taxes.
nope. anybody can get it.... assuming that they meet legal requirements.
Foreign Workers And Social Security Numbers
Social Security Numbers For Noncitizens
Did you just read what you wrote? It makes no sense. You are required by law to present your social security number to your employer in order that taxes will be withheld!! You better re-read what you wrote or quoted obviously without reading or understanding!!
If they are non-citizens how have they been paying taxes?? They receive money under the table if they are here illegally!! Otherwise their employers would have been shut down!!
Like I said, I will find out from my friend who goes to Mexico frequently. I will ask him tonight at work.
No, it is MORE LOSS for you than Jiro does.
The police can ask for document but they can't make arrest, though.

Well you can spin it however you want. If I cared I would link any number of posts where you complained about the racial profiling involved in the upheld portion. But I don't
There are three objectives I wanted this law to accomplish....I will not go into them, but I will say I am confident all objectives will be met through the upheld portion. I am not overjoyed with the ruling but I am fairly happy with it.
Absolutely. Most people did not know about the other laws but were quite familiar with the AZ law that was not struck down. That was the most contentious law of them all
And for those who work as contract labor......which is the majority????
I think it could be diesel fuel cost, maintenance/service, armed officers that add up to cost, especially if use bus or big van.
I don't know if they use airplane or bus to deport, however international airplane is very expensive.
aw that's so cute... both of youse. tag-teaming and butt-patting each other even though this was a major blow to you and Governor Brewer.
again... what was upheld has always been allowed in the first place so there was no win or loss there.
Fifty-nine percent of Latinos said they disapprove of the president’s approach to removing illegal immigrants, more than double the number who said they approved in Pew’s nationwide survey.
Among Latino registered voters, the sentiment was nearly as strong, with 52 percent disapproving of the Obama administration’s handling of deportations.
Since 2009, the annual average number of deportations has approached 400,000, according to the Department of Homeland Security. That’s double the annual average during President George W. Bush’s first term and 30 percent higher than the average when he left office.
Meanwhile, the flow of illegal immigrants into the United States has hit a decade low because of the down economy and stepped-up enforcement efforts.
so..... why are you blaming non-citizens? it's obviously employers who are scamming government for greed.... you know - they're American citizens.
Like I said.....Not a big deal. I think AZ will be able to accomplish it's goals through the portion that was upheld. Not best case scenario.....but it is workable. There are some differences in the portion upheld from before. If you choose not to see acknowledge them that is fine with me.
Who said I was blaming non-citizens besides you?! Fine and shut down companies employing illegals!

Sadly, the part they approved is the part that will allow LEO to use their own judgment, based on the appearance of being illegal - meaning Hispanic. It was the one thing in this law I really didn't care for. If I lived in AZ, I would stay out of the sun.
