If you are not afraid to be wrong then why can you admit you are wrong. Afterall I did prove you wrong back on the other threads.....dancing around to buy some time?
where specifically?

I believe in federalism on immigration issues, not statewide. The immigration system under federal is flawed and need to be reformed.
couldn't or wouldn't? and what was the exact reason?
interesting comment I read somewhere -
(post was cleaned up with handful of F-words removed)
ah... it's a very tricky issue when it comes to children. we certainly do not want to see any children getting harmed during detainment.Refused because they said that they had no housing provisions for the children.
I have also been refused by them when I encountered an illegal since they supposedly had not broken any laws?! I was told that if I had a criminal charge that I should arrest them and then they could act. Hello, they are here illegally!
oh... but... as you stated in previous post - "As a police officer I took and oath to protect and defend the constitution of the US and uphold the laws in place."
then you should follow the laws. since you have nothing to charge them with... then the feds can't do anything about it.
Jiro,
You are so sadly mistaken if you think that this is a Republican only issue. Democrats are just as guilty and have been busted as well! Get your facts straight before you post this biased garbage!
The crime is obviously being here illegally. I know, I know ... who cares what the law says. Obviously Obama doesn't.

How do you know that? after all.... everybody is presumed innocent until proven guilty. and the law clearly states that police officers can check for their immigration status if they're being charged with something else.
since these people that airportcop detained are not being criminally charged... then there's nothing they can do because it's equivalent to searching a suspect's house without a warrant.
Read airportcop's post again -
clearly - the feds would step in and start deportation process if laws and protocols have been followed properly. until then.... their hands are tied unless you prefer that we break the laws to deport illegals.
The feds are breaking the law by not deporting known criminals. Being in the United States illegally is a criminal act.
Aiding and abetting criminals is also illegal.

as airportcop stated... feds will start deportation process only after they have been arrested by police officers and criminally charged. The feds are breaking the law by not deporting known criminals.
correct.Being in the United States illegally is a criminal act.
correct. that's why we penalize employers and arrest Coyotes and Snakeheads. We need to impose a much harsher penalty for employers.Aiding and abetting criminals is also illegal.

Really? You sure that is "clear" that they "will"
I'm not afraid to be wrong. Steinhauer is free to prove me wrong... only if he stops dancing around to buy some time, hoping that somebody else would jump in to save his hide
I'm sure the feds will start a deportation process if they were criminally charged.
I'm sure the feds will abdicate its duty to deport them if they have a reason to reason like they're busy with high priority cases.
I'm sure the feds will prioritize on who to deport now and who to deport later (or not).
Are you sure that due to very limited resource and budgets, you still want the federal government to swamped with trivial cases when there are much more important cases to deal with such as powerful drug gang/cartel members, terrorists, etc whom have illegally entered this country?
Don't you agree it's much more cost effective to provide a work visa to illegals as well as issue fines if they have no criminal records so that they can start paying tax?
