ARGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH......... Not today!!!!!!

Thanks Botts... It looks like we have no choice do that as we were so desperate to get a car somehow.... But we got it anyway..... :D

Thanks Jiro, Yes that is very true but we are both on SSI/SSA each monthly but i will look for a job somewhere on Jan 2011 - who knows..... Oh well!!! Thanks again! :thumb: You are so lucky to manage lower the credit from 4.54% down to 3.19% for 60 months...... :D

Kind of off topic , but your cancer treatment must be going good if you are planning to start job hunting? I hope so anyway.

My hubby have an 97 thunderbird. He brought it new in 1997. We were dating at the time ( lots of kisses in that car). He still drive it to this day. He plan on driving it until it is no longer can be fixed.

Wondering does your hubby's car T-Bird have v-6 or v-8? If it is v-6 that have head gasket problems as i read about "reliability" reports from MSN auto about that..... So we will have to becareful with that....

V6. He did have a problem but I don't remember what it was. Its fix now.

That's okay for off topic once a while..... Yes it is good and still ongoing treatment and i am not feeling down at all that means that i can go on for my life which that means that i am getting much stronger than two years ago - Much better than before - Isn't good to know right? I have been working since last year part time (once a month mostly) but started in August of this year as i worked as weekly cleaning for my boss's furniture store but i missed once recently Thursday ago which we did not get a car that time until Friday late evening around 6:30 to 7 pm to 8 or 8 30 last night that we got this car anyway.... :D

Ok he told me that he never had the gasket fixed. He is aware about it because he was told if it blow out under 100,000 miles, Ford will fix it for free. His car have 140,000 mfiles on it.he said he have been using valvoline(sp) maxlife oil to prolong it's life. His friend had a t-bird v6 too but his gasket blew out at 100,002 miles. Too bad it wasn't under 100, 000miles because he would had it fix for free.

My hubby says when his gasket blows out, he is not going to fix it. He's getting a new car.

OK that's good information, is there way to tell if the engine going to blow the head gasket before it happens? (from your hubby's friend) Like a tell sign or warning? We cannot allow the car to break down in middle of no where as in last week of Dec and first week of Jan my wife has surgery date in S.F. which is like 380 miles round trip and i have appt at this friday 10th. My wife missed her 2 surgery appts. last month the 9th. because of the stupid car broke down.... oh well!!!

Congrats, WhiteWolves64!
I hope your "new" car has lower mileage in it this time.

Off-topic, I am SO glad to hear that you are getting stronger than last time. :)

Thanks Sosie..... This T-Bird has 141,500 or something miles now.... better than Escort which had 231,673 miles on it....We had it junked recently Tuesday Dec. 7th, they paid us 231.00 for it which is fine by us cuz it does not working at all!!!!

This morning, my wife was trying to get our car start but almost could not start at all but made it and then i drove the car to gas station to fill the gas up to ready to go to SF for my wife's doctor appt. today. And then we went to 7-11 store to get iced mocha for my wake up to drive long distance. When we are ready to go and our car won't start at all and then i had to push our car while my wife steer the car backward and park on the street to avoid towing on 7-11 store parking lot. We had to walk back home in approximately 3 miles and then we asked our across neighbor to take us back to our car to remove the PVC valve and took us to auto part stores but they do not have the correct parts, so he took us to ford dealer parts department to purchase the correct parts for it and took us back to our car and fixed and hoped it would start but NADA!!! Dang!!! It must be the starter or something.... We did buying new battery last month as we thought it should take care of it but NOPE!!!! And asked our neighbor guy (Scott) to take us to food store and then home so he did..... Today is MY BIRTHDAY that our car broke down completely!!! And i called the car insurance company about towing package including but she said NO because of "low cost automobile insurance" that won't cover that!!!! SIGH I tried to call my boss to help us out but it was answering machine - Damn!!! We could not do anything right now!!!!! SIGH!!!!!

Does "SF" mean San Francisco? If so, I know a couple great deaf mechanics. Let me know if you're interested in direct communication.
