ARGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH......... Not today!!!!!!

what is problem your resolve? tough! aww happy birthday WhiteWolves64!! woot

deafgal001 - ouchie $600 dollars for a fuel pump.... Since we do not have any credit card to pay for parts and labor at auto mechanic shop for repair or replace the parts yet..... We don't get paid until Dec. 1st then we will have to fix the car for the next trip to SF again in third and fourth week of Dec. to make a doctor appointment there.... SIGH!!!!!

I think its because it is a van and the fuel pump is in the tank. It was for labor not the pump.

That's good to hear that your car parks on your street. *phew!*

Good luck on finding a used car (with low mileage)! :)

Sosie.... Thanks for the good luck on finding a used car..... :ty:

smithtr.... we do not know what's wrong with it yet as our neighbor's best friend did not show up or call us back for finding what's wrong with our car that won't start at all.... But i will update later once finding out what's wrong with it - Okay! :D

Oh i see.... Labor is very expensive!!! Oh boy!!!!!:hmm:

True. In the last two weeks I had oil, coolant, and transmission fluid drips fixed on my Jeep. The parts were cheap but the labor was expensive. The total for repairs was over $500. (The book value for my car is $830.) Still, it's worth it to me.

Still too steep to pay out of pocket - Our neighbor's best friend's husband who is mechanic himself and willing to find out what's wrong with our car that won't start at no charge but since they fail to show up or call us to let us know that they are coming over to take a look at during daytime.... Sigh!!!:aw:

Hopefully, the problem with your vehicle won't cost that much.

If you do have to buy another vehicle, have a mechanic friend check it out with you. There are some good deals on used vehicles that people are desperate to sell. You just have to be careful not to be cheated.

Vehicles--it's a love-hate relationship sometimes. :giggle:

That's very true about vehicles [love-hate relationship part] :giggle:

Let me join your club one more time. For the past couple weeks, my car is having trouble starting. The first try is a struggle, but the second try is no problem. I told my husband research it, it could be some simple that we can fix on our own without paying $300 or something. I hope so! because I afraid one of these morning I won't be able to start the car and drive our son to school (he goes to private college prep school by the choice of his grandparents).

My hubby found out this weekend that our Expedition will not start. At least it is not a vehicle we use daily, but it is still needed. Batteries are all charged, the starter is good, the alternator is good and now on Sunday he will check other things. I asked about the obvious, gas. He thought there was a full tank, I checked, it's empty. IT has a locking gas cap, but I think someone found a way into it. We have been having people steal gas from 2 other vehicles already. We can't find a locking gas cap for MIL's old Crown Victoria and the dealership has told me that due to some little quirk in my car, I cannot change my gas cap. I have a 2002 Mercury Sable GS.

:aw: Sorry but
Happy late Birthday! :D

Phillips... That's okay but thanks anyway!!!! :ty:

Hubby tells me that gas cap locks are very easy to pick open.

I used to have a car that would stop running for no obvious reason. We eventually figured it out. It had an alarm system with an engine kill switch. It would somehow short out and cause the engine to stop even though the alarm wasn't set. After we disconnected the system we had no more problems.

Sometimes the most unexpected things can mess up a car.

Oh interesting as i never thought of that and could be the alarm system with an engine kill switch but not too sure about that! Darn that car!!!!

that's why you should have at least 1-2 credit card accounts opened just to make your credit score to look good. just make sure to pick credit card that doesn't charge you for maintenance fee.

but congrat on your new car! although.... 19% is... a big ouch.... Mine's 3.19% for 60 months. I negotiated it down from 4.54%
