Don't see the poll. I am wearing two bte hearing aid, always.
 
I used to wear HA then CI but not anymore due medical reason, stopped in 6 years ago for CI, however I still have very old HA, that got in 1989 and very rarely to use it, also I have new ear mold that I got in last 2 years ago. HA doesn't help me so much, just little chance but used to work so great and helpful when I was little kid.

It doesn't matter which is HA kind. Just all HA kind. CIC, ITC, ITE, BTE together. If people want to say ITE and can post here if they want to.
 
I used to have HA and CI but not anymore. I had very old HA for a long time when I was a little girl age of 7 yrs old. Didn't have money to get a new ones right now. I also used to have CI. Had CI surgery when I was 14 yrs old then got activited after surgery and started loving it but not anymore. I stopped using the CI when I was a freshman in high school. I have learned that CI doesn't work for me and doesn't fit me in. I felt so sick from CI. I am glad for people who have CI... its wonderful. Its their ways. I have my own way.

I am really happy with who I am right now... proud to be deaf. :)

I didn't know that you had CI and not anymore for medical reason. I understand. I don't blame on you. My cousin has CI. His first CI wasn't working. He got re-surgery to change a new implant for free. He can hear better with new CI than old CI. He have no problem with CI so far. What kind of medical reason? Like headache or tinnitus? I have one friend who have CI. He got headache and need to repair and re-surgery for adjust. He got back to normal from headache.

Yeah- I agree with thiat. I had horrible headaches from CI. It was really horrible. I still have those headaches everyday no matte what. It never stops daily. I never had a chance to go to doctor to get it removed or have it check up because I havent heard from my doctor in for a long time and they never check with me to have an appointments or anything. It sucks. I deal with the pains and try to be happy though.

Ahhh. your doctor have no excuse to leave you and never check on you. How about Audiologist? I understand that you have an experience with headache. I never see my cousin have headache from CI. :dunno:

Yeah, it sucks. I tried to get ahold of the doctors about it but no lucks yet. Interesting about headaches... oh well. i deal with it anyway.
 
I used to wear HA but I stopped wearing them because I got worst headache. I am happy without HA. I felt good without headache.
 
I used to wear hearing aids, but gave up with it, 8 years ago and never wore them since, because they caused the tinnitus every time I wear them, yikes!
 
Hey Jacob, you could see if CI could help you! I've worn bilateral aids since I was three.

Unfortunately, I have gone to Sydney to see if the CI would work for me over 10 years ago but it unfortunately won't work for me due that my nerves to the brain from my ears are dead :(

If doctor don't help you. You can find other new doctor and audiologist. It sound your doctor is not a professional. Why he can't care about patient with CI? Ohh my gosh. I will ask my cousin's mom about his CI experience with headache. I will find an answer. I will let you know.
