No i don't think that by enrolling in ita gain that i'll meet more deaf/hoh ppl. what i mean is that i'll meet ppl with an interest in it, and i know some HOH ppl take the class too, esp. b/c the Deaf/HOH community in my city is so small...it's the only real place to go for that sort of thing.

Be try remmy Deaf Cultures and Hearing Cultures simalir their own traditional cultures are same... No difference as long "no Barrier" Open mind and communcation right there!

I don't need you say that, Oh you have ci cannot improve speech that their lost.. Really quite horrible your breath offense.. I advise you don't say that ever again!

I've seen Vary peoples who try their best improve listening or speech as long nobody perfect..

ci make you 100% hearing . ha.. very funny! Seems aren't you admit when you sleeping.. how can you hear anything sounds... Extactly as "Pitch Black" as nowhere dark to hear... anything sounds.. Still DEAF..

CI is only opintal and personal to every deaf person so it doesnt matter if it helps to make you hear better or not because techogoly isn't perfect as well as humans arent perfect either.

First of all..... Like I said I agree with my family and friends... (hearing and deaf) that cochlear implants does make you hearing... Since you can do the things that deafies can't do... Don't you dare advise me to do anything becasue I can say whatever I feel free to say.... It doesn't matter if it offense you whatsoever...

By the way quit twisting things around because it's not going to work that way and I will STAND ON MY GROUND!!!!! Get it????? I hope so!! Because in my very OWN WORDS OUT OF MY MOUTH!!! I DO THINK THAT CI MAKES YOU A HEARING PERSON!!!!! Read the caps??? Get it??? Understand it clearly??? Don't ever I mean EVER treat me like that or tell me what to do PERIOD!.... I will always think CI going to make people hearing regarless you like it or not!

Remember CI helps deafies hear and it will make them hearing becasue they can do the things that most deafies can't do.... On the other hand, My ex friend who is totally deaf and is getting a ci shortly, I do a lot more than she does and understand what goes on out in the real world, its becasue I've never ever been 100% deaf just now.... so I have to agree what my friends and family have to say, oh by the way even my doctors said it too!

I have one friend who was born 100% deaf and she got a CI too and when she was in high school she no longer needed an intercrepter because she can pretty much understand everything the teacher said, and even speaks on the phone and even understand ppl better without even reading their lips and such stuff like that, so CI is a very powerful techogoly, but it just doesnt morph you into a hearing person but just lets you HEAR like a hearing person, is all. So pretty much well said there, Royal Majesty.

Small annoying noise from the table at coffee shop last night, click, click, click which drove my hearing husband nut.He decided to find something to hold this table still and got up and went to collect small stones to put under legs of the table to keep it quiet. I asked my friend with CI who thinks he is hearing ( his wife disagree with him and still called him deaf ) "do u hear it as my husband heard it" He did not hear it. Not every sound CIers can hear, still not 100 percent alike hearing. If they talks well and able to talk on phone, consider themselves as hoh.
 
he's probably not up there at the normal hearing level as hearing adult. other is that he may be distracted by other sounds (ie: not paying attention to sound that your husband heard. you husband may be moving the table and listened for the sound and associated it with the table while your friend was not. different thing) *shrug*
