Are Drug Users Persecuted?

Regarding radiation therapy, nausea is often common early in the treatment, same with hair loss. Sometimes, your skin may change too as well. However, they are also at risk of developing lung and heart problems later. It usually takes years to develop though.

Yes, this is true, especially depending on where the radiation is being delivered and the number of treatments given. Actually, though, it is the chemo that is responsible for the hair loss.

I think he meant marijuana.

I know. I guess I should have said, "What about it?" The question was just hanging there without context. In reference to treatment for chemo sickness or in reference to legalization?

Right, hair loss can occur with radiation therapy. However, the interesting part is that it will only affect the treated area. For instance, a man's chest, the hair loss is likely to fall out there. If it's at your hips, your pubic hair may fall out.

With chemotherapy, a large number of hair will fall out, this doesn't happen with radiation therapy since it only affects the treated area.

my father underwent chemotherapy, his hair did not fall out. It all depends on what kind of Chemo is being used. The newer generation of Chemo is actually less harsh, and target specific cells instead of wipping out all the cell types. My father's chemo targeted the B-cells.

Some chemo are still pretty harsh and cause hair loss... dont get me wrong. since it wipes out good cells along with bad cells.

That's true, not everyone is affected the same way. That's the problem with a number of medications. For instance, antibiotics, they kill both the bad and good bacteria.

It's like the saying, you can't have your cake and eat it too. :-/

Correct.

It depends on the level of addiction. If the drug user is become a harmful one then I guess they should be prosecuted

--------------------------------------

As the laws are, people are not prosecuted for being addicts. They are prosecuted for the possession and use of illegal drugs. Plenty of addicts out there that are using legal drugs prescribed by their doctors. They aren't arrested for drug possession and use.

Rush Limbaugh.

Think Limbaugh would come to mind. Correct me if I'm wrong.
