I side with the Feds. When you commit a heinous act of violence on innocents, you forfeit the right to privacy. What rights did the terrorists respect when they ended the life of defenseless people there for slaughter?

I agree but the problem is.... that "backdoor" opens everybody's door. the "unique identifier" argument is nothing but bullsh!t.
 
Breaking news: Federal judge: DOJ can’t force Apple to unlock iPhone in New York case. Good!!!

The San Bernardino terrorists are both dead so they won't be effected by their cell phone being unlocked but people who didn't commit a heinous act of violence have a right to their privacy. .
 
Thank God for DOJ decision, if we allow government have their own backdoor, there will always be hackers lined up trying to find that backdoor.
 
if it does change.. I'm gonna stop looking at illegal sites in my iphone cuz I don't want anyone bust me.. but it's legal still free but I know one person accidentally clicked on porn too much that costs $$ and poor parents had to pay his bill.. blah I will not say who but some people does that for no reason ata ll..

Former antivirus developer and presidential wannabe John McAfee claimed a couple of weeks ago to have the perfect solution to the FBI-Apple stand-off. He offered to crack the iPhone for the FBI for free. This would let the government agency gain access to the phone while freeing Apple from any demands to assist. So confident was McAfee of his ability to help out that he said he'd eat a shoe on TV if he couldn't get into the phone.

It will probably not come as much of a surprise to anyone to learn that the FBI has not been beating down McAfee's door.

If John McAfee really does believe that the FBI, and everyone else working in computer security, is some kind of an idiot who hasn't realized a very basic and simple flaw in the iPhone's security, he could trivially prove his theory and show the world where the iPhone keeps its PIN. He could film the whole thing and put it on YouTube. Given that the whole exercise should only take half an hour, it's hard to see any reason why McAfee wouldn't do this—unless he's not a fan of the taste of shoe leather.

I don't understand why FBI can't hack an iphone while they can hack a PC.
 
Different OSes for one, different set up and they might not have the employee know how?

Why is it Apples problem to provide the assistance ? The FBI need to man up and figure it out themselves....why is Apple responsible to make their product Less than superior than what it is currently now? I dont see FBI telling every gun maker to start making their guns more trackable and account for each bullet used and ID who shot it etc to easily solve all of the homicides nowadays they are not responsible for the user uilitization of the tool they used to commit a crime. Not Apples problem.

Court warrants allow the law enforcement to seize computers which they may be able to hack so it doesn't make sense that a court protects Apple. It belonged to the TERRORIST. It's possible that there are important info in it that we need to know about ISIS. If Apple won't cooperate, then it means it supports ISIS obviously. It's really dumb that Apple won't do it because it's the right of the terrorist's privacy. LOL In other words, Apple sucks.

I disagree with you so we already know that you support NSA and FISA.

Don't be nosy about my privacy.

Most ISIS used cheap phone with software encryption, not iPhone, anyway.

You don't understand... IT BELONGED TO THE TERRORIST SO IT'S VERY IMPORTANT. If it belongs to you, therefore it's not important for Apple to open it for FBI. You are not a terrorist, are you? If Apple won't do it, ISIS wins. Shame on Apple!

It changed everything after NSA incident and Apple doesn't want to break the trust with customers about PRIVACY. The federal agencies are abusing our privacy by hacking our phone for years and years so that why Apple got fed up and refuse to cooperate with FBI. The backdoor does pose a security risk and it can be easier for hackers to crack the iPhone so Apple isn't take it anymore.

FBI means to ALL OF US, not just terrorists.

I'm not goddamn terrorist so what are you think about it.
