Must have carrier for two years. After two years done then you dont need carrier anymore if you want.
 
$40 months x 24 = $960 !! forget it
becuase $40 + $45 High Speed = $95 months forget it
I want pager's Wi-Fi near my Wireless router or clubhouse wi-fi

then buy iPhone and call att to cancel the service with $175 ETF.

For me, I think it's bad for both of you and att, att did subsidize on iPhone to make affordable but require to use their carrier to be make fair.

Get iPod Touch if you don't need carrier stuff.

Buy iTouch then. It same as iPhone with wifi but no carrier need. Also you can get 32G drive on iTouch too.

iTouch? you mean iPod Touch right?
they don't have AIM, GPS, youtube, SDK, etc..?

Yes iPod Touch is what I meant.

iPod should be the same as iPhone without the phone carrier circuity but wait until July to see if the SDK become avaiable to developer that would work on iPod too then iPod should have same apps as iPhone ie AIM Games Youtube etc.

I am not sure about GPS thou .. Does iPhone have true GPS or just radio tower GPS? I never checked on GPS before on iPhone.

Remember iPhone 2.0 is not out until July 11th then we will know if they will update iPod to 2.0 OS too.

Nobody know until July 11th then find out what iPhone have and if iPod will offer similar features so will have to wait and see on July 11th next month and find out.

att has TAP, it's included unlimited data and text, no phone plan required.

I'm att consumer and haven't seen hidden charge on my bill.
