Any body like to fly?

Cool!! I am usually sit in flying a big airport but never been in a small airport:):):)!

where you live? I'm sure lots smaller airport near by... nice place to hang out...

Cool!!

I've always wish I had a set of wings so I could fly.....

great day to fly...

woke up this morning and weather was great, blue sky's, 70 light winds..
called the FBO (Fixed Base Operator) to see if a Cessna 172 was avaliable to rent.. to my surprise it was avaliable all day.... so I took it and flew to ABI
spent time talking to a friend with a T-6 Texan a WW2 army air forces flight trainer, it uses 30 gallons of flew per hour, lot more than the 8 gallons per hour my Cessna 172 used..... but it fly's much faster too...

it was great day to fly... watched all the cars on I-20 as I passed over on my way home...they looked like match box or hot wheels toy cars from 6,500 feet....not much too see in west Texas....till I got closer to DFW lots lakes near DFW...laned at 5 pm and paid for aircraft rental $400.17 ouch, but it was fun to fly and just play around...

had no one to fly with....

I agree the desire within us would propel us to be able to fly.

I don't want to fly with planes, helicopter, among others.
I want to fly with this

tat wouldbe fun... untill the fuel supply runs out... I think they have1 minute or so fuel supply....

Parachute is the back-up. That would be more fun that way, because if you use jet-pack, and parachute in same trip. It is definitely better than flying the airplane, and jump off, and use parachute. Wonderful experience, but my heart is :Ohno:.

Sure, poweron...

I will take you to fly then I will use twist the fly over sky then you will be SCARED OFF!!!

j/k

Before I ever took flying lessons I was hanging around the airport at 14. And the owner offered to let me go with him on his check ride. I saw them snickering and talking to each other, then they started doing crazy flight maneuvers designed to frighten this little girl. But I LOVED IT! I begged them to do more! The owner of the airport said, "I think we have a future pilot on our hands. " They did!

having thousand skydives... I don't see how you can safely deploy a parachute without the risk of it snagging / fouling up on something....theres too much crap too close to body to snag / foul up the parachute

on a "check ride"? you wouldn't dare do anything thing like crazy flight maneuvers like that on a check ride.. automatic faulure! unless you were refering to something like a bi-annual flight review.. then that's different...
yea fun isn't it.

I skydive too and have lots of jumps out Casa 212 C-130 and yes even rear stairs of a 727 like DB Copper.

That's cool and a lot of adventures. My old friend loved to talk about his skydiving and he flew a small airplane. He lives somewhere in Texas. His name is Rob B. He told me that he almost killed himself that his parachute was jammed, and he immediately released an emergency parachute. He hurt his back at the last minute. He jumped hundred of times in the past. I don't think that he wants to do it again. He probably is too busy to take care of two little kids now. I lost his email address a few years ago. I don't know what happened to him. The last message in my email that he was getting a divorce - maybe not.

I know Rob Bond he works with me at American Airlines AFW 777 / 767 aircraft overhaul base. Rob works on the Rolls-Royce 777 Trent engines in the engine shop while I work on the 767's in the hanger. Yes Rob quit the sport after that incident... he's happy married and has two kids...he lives in Lewisville Texas.

talked to Rob today at work.... he said he had never had his main parachute fail and has never used his reserve chute... (same as me) he did get hit in mid air by a cameraman that failed to wave off & look before pull.. that damn near killed him... and he quit the sport. Do I blame him? no... its his life and sometimes you have to walk away from the sport... I know many friends of mine that have died skydiving... it IS a dangerous sport

skydiving before you die..

I always want to be skydiver in someday! I hope! Before I die! lol

I'm leery with the thought of piloting because when I was in junior high school I witnessed a small jet crashed into my parents' land. The pilot, who was a police officier, was dead on the scene.
:/

I LOVE being in the air - I'd prefer to sit and watch the sky than worry about being responsible as a pilot.
