It's bad enough when a deaf or hoh person fakes an online personality but when it's a hearing person creating a fake deaf personality complete with ASL-style written posts, it's truly creepy and disturbing.

Supposedly so. At least her alter-ego (Kate Rivera then Mintee) was supposedly a hearing student as she said in her intro posts long ago. But who knows, really?

dogmom to be honest, I am sure there are probably others here that just haven't been caught. They always seem to be lurking. But as far as the little hearing girls, Im not kidding when I say this started happening when Switched at Birth came on TV. Dont get me wrong, the show is great and sheds some light on what it is like to be in a Hearing/Deaf world, but all of a sudden deafness is this cool thing everyone wants to know about and every hearing girl wants to know ASL and have a deaf boyfriend. But I can honestly say there was a spike in girls who came here looking for deaf love
