damn, pro, ya should stay there without electric.....i would just bec...it's part of my house as basement. but otherwise, you do nothing wrong.
 
You did the right thing by disconnecting all services under your name at your friend's house because you are the only one who paid for them. She is nuts.. if she wants to use the services, then she has to pay for them. No worries. You got our support. ;)

Hey, prostock, you haven't done anything wrong. You have nothing to defend. The lady was very irresponsible with her electric bill and probably other bills, and is a cheapsake. Had her sore spots, and approached this with you very inappriopriately. Just get the hell out of there, and take everything with you... don't look back! :D
 
Landlords are required by law to give a 30 day notice no less. This could apply with tenants.

Edit- You should also research on tenant laws too.

UPDATE!

Last night when I left, my roomie and I agreed that I would leave at the end of the month. Well, Today at work, she asks me when I am going to get the rest of my stuff out. And that they wanted to get it out today! I was like WTF, I am at work. They told me that they were throwing my stuff outside. I called the police for that town and asked them to do me a favor and go up there while I try and get a relief at work. I went up there and found out that they didn't move my stuff outside, but started to move some of my stuff. I got pissed cuz they opened my "Memory Box". No one touches that box. Anyways, my father and brother came down in my father's van to help. So between my van and his van, we got everything out and put into my storage area. We also brought all her stuff that I had in my storage area back to the apartment. I did leave her a few things that I didn't want anymore. She was bitchin cuz I took most of the food..that I bought. Well, few things. I had to take time off from work. I would have done it on my days off, so who will pay me for that. I know I won't see the money from the cable and telephone bills. I also know I won't see the money for the remainder of my rent. But one thing. I am happy that I am out of there. I may be homeless and staying at different friends' houses, but I don't have to deal with that family anymore.

Everyone, thank you again for letting me vent. It's been a bit stressful, but better with your support. And Ally, you owe me nothing.
 
ur roomies are dumbfuckers be happy u aren't livin with them anymore it's the best u live somewhere but yeah it's no fun bein homeless :roll: but I wish u the best of luck to find a temp place to stay in but I know it won't be fun tho.. :roll: at ur dumb roomies lol and it's alright u can vent out here to see who is right or not :)

She is trying to screw you, she is obviously not financially responsible, dont be burdened by other's debt. It is your life and you should live it the way you want not made to suffer by other people's mistakes and it is not right that her and her sister cussed you out...that does not show class... You are doing the right thing.

thank FUCKING god I didnt stay with that bitch. I lived there for 2 weeks (its another house before prostock moved there.. i think.) And my relationship with that bitch was nothing but worthless. Now shes telling everyone that I did shit with her ex-roomate which was TOTALLY not true. I did NADA! All I did was talking though the wyndtell pager and nothing more. But whatever, that person and I dont talk anymore. The bitch had threat me to go to the house and beat her ass up.

What u know...that bitch is STUCK on bed and cant fucking move outta the bed...who u think will win the war? What a idiot! She only drinks and does weed...nothing else. She got bladder or liver or whatever it is problem and still does it....what u think? Smart? NOTT!!! She is fucking jealous saying I aint good mom and i'm a whore. *Laughing* Not good mom?
