A few comments.

How come this event is bi-annual? August is bad month for many people since many of them have children and they are in schools. NY State is usually one month behind many other states that start schools so your event should be in June or July.

I notice the date and I know how SSI or SSDI are. Usually they come in the first few days of each month so its good idea to have event right in start of the month when SSI/SSDI arrives so that people have money for the trip. Food, hospitality (hotel), transportation, spending money, and the theme park admission that usually cost about 35 dollars or more.

I usually make trips budgetwise and know how much to spend. One trip I made was the move down to Fla back in 2002 right on the dot on the spending money, miles, gas, food, etc. People were surprised how good I am on that.

I am in Upstate NY and for this trip to Ohio would be more of driving there but my wife and I already made plans for this year and next year. We are travelling to another state so Its a no go. Sorry folks!

Whoa, someone used vuglar language here and sexual tones in this thread. That also affected our decision. We dont like vuglar language.

We will pass.

It means we will not go. "We will pass by this event by going to some other events." I got a Forum to attend this coming January 2008, Another one in Fla, and a trade show in Vegas..and later this year, a national trade show here in my hometown. All four are part of business. Cost money. My wife wants to see her friends in Austin,TX and Minneapolis, MN. So we are going to limit on which to go to. I do not know anybody in AD, my friend Angel.

My wife knows those two friends (the one from Austin and Minneapolis) since she was part of a group for widows and widowers and they are members of the same group.
 
Oh I can truly understand that UpstNYDesigner, I do hope to meet you and your lovely wife someday, I know you both don't know me that well, but it won't hurt to meet new faces! smile...
 
Actually, Designer, I think Angel meant to ask where the vulgar language in this thread is......
 
i would vote july 16th to 20th but poll was closed but i hope my vote still count since the poll is closed

DeafCruise, Dreamdeaf already had choose it's location for 2008, but maybe in the future Alex may want to think of going on cruise :dunno:
 
I chose Ohio for 2008 so we could have excursions such as Cedar Point - the next Caucus would be in 2010 - and Im hoping we have enough ADers attend the 2008 Caucus so we can put it to a vote for the next location.

The reason why its biannual is because of all the planning that is needed - finding a location, getting a contract with the hotel, getting the schedule set up and all that - and also it allows people to save mone ahead of time.


In fact, I'd be glad to start taking suggestions for the 2010 AD Caucus now. Just PM me or post it here in this thread!

Good idea. Now, what do you have in mind for location ?

Hawaii ? Caribbean ? North Pole ! (just kidding), I'm sure that Alex would very much love going cruise.

Best of all, you don't have to look or paying for night hotel, foods, riding, etc. It's everything you need on Cruise!

You can ask DreamDeaf and Alex this question, I'm not in charge of the AD Caucus, and was only giving a suggestion to DreamDeaf :)

Good point. I think they can give feedback whereby they would like to go.. and I'm sure that DreamDeaf and Alex "will" probably agreed on this one.

That sounds fantastic!! I never been on a cruise before, It'll be a dream come true for me. ;)
