SHUT THE F*CK UP!!!

I don't want to hear from YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're kidding here, aren't you or.....hmmm.

The way it is...how the last event went and having numerous of interested folks wanting to go and then later on, turning it down or waiting until the last minute...which can be truly frustrating for setting up the event and not being able to 'tell' a specific number of folks who intends on going or have paid....this time around, it will be done differently. But the details of that will come later. In the meantime, it's more out of respect and having the courtesy to simply say...yes I am going, or no, I am not going. If unsure at the time, no need to say anything until you and other members know for sure.

Bottom line, the work involved with setting this up isn't an easy task to overtake...therefore, letting your answers be 'yes' or 'no' would be greatly appreciated...and for those who are unsure...or need time to figure out your plans, your budget, etc., etc., eventually stepping up and letting those who are setting this up know will be appropriate.

Thank you!

~RR

:ty: Roadrunner, You got my drift. ;)

:giggle: @ GalaxyAngel and Northstar, Yes, I'll make a great bouncer huh? Women security guard. :giggle:

Yikes! :ugh:

Lake Tahoe,

It's ok for you to say your pieces to let them know about your " unsure " plans ( CA or Ohio ). They will not count you of goin' to Ohio for sure. They can put your screen name on their " Unsure " list and leave it as is until the day comes. If, your screen name is STILL on the " unsure " list when the day comes, then it will be your loss for not goin' because, they will not count you to make an arrangement for them to reserve. I hope my explanation is clear. :D

Yes, start plan ahead of time is a good planner!

Most important.. where would AllDeaf go on cruise? How about trip to North Pole... I guess not, they dont wanted to go where it's so COLDEST place. But rather to have a decnet climnate there.

Anybody can come up with idea about goint cruise 2010. I think Alex is more than welcome anyone to join discuss here.

Just come out from Captain Cook cruise in Fiji Islands last week. It give me some ideas about Deaf people's. I went with my hearing husband and family, as I rely on them for this trip.

May I asked you few questions:-

How would you woke Deaf people up at 3.45AM in the early morning if anything go wrong in the boat?

Will the Deaf people leave their bedroom slide window door unlock in case of emergency I wonder?

They cannot hear the loud speaker announcement. I would be interesting to hear how will you find EVERY Deaf passengers in the Cruiser boat in quick time limit?

Greetings -

Now that the wedding is over and Im slowly getting over the passing away of BabyCat (although I will probably never really get over it), I'm back to work on the AD Caucus 2008.

I will be calling the hotel today - hopefully to get them to start working on the contract.

If not... then it's :whip: time!

Anyway - I know that for many of you, it's difficult to have the money ready in time to register for the Caucus - so I'm gonna give everyone that wants to go a break now.

I will accept payments up to $100.00 starting today - they will be logged into the ledger and applied towards the Caucus combo.

Remember, the combo will include the registration fee, reception and banquet. It will not include the hotel cost or Cedar Point fee. You are responsible for your own hotel arrangements. The Cedar Point admission fee is based on what they set for next year, so I cannot predict what the cost will be. Remember, though, I will be getting a group ticket rate - it depends on having 15 or more people in the group.

If the combo cost is less than $100.00, the remainder will be paid back to you or applied towards the Cedar Point admission fee if you state you will be going. This year it was $31.00 for the group rate, so it could be that amount or upwards to $40.00.

Please PM me for my mailing address if you are mailing a cashier's check, money order or personal check OR my email address if you are paying through PayPal.

I will accept monthly payments - you will get a receipt EVERY time you pay. Please write AllDeaf Caucus 2008, your name and address, and your AllDeaf user name when paying for the first time.

If you want to include extra money for Cedar Point, you may do so - be sure to write Cedar Point when paying for it.

I will NOT be counting those who says they are not going OR unsure if they are going.

I will only count those people WHO are paying or have paid up.

I learned my lesson the last time - period.

Three lists will be kept -
One for those coming to BOTH the AllDeaf Caucus and Cedar Point;
one for those coming for the AllDeaf Caucus only,
and the third one for the Cedar Point outing only.

Remember, those who pays will be on the lists - not those who says they are coming, unsure or not coming. Only those who PAYS will be put on the lists.

So if you really, really plan on going - start paying today! PM me for the information you need!

Wow I like that idea DreamDeaf, perfect!! that way we know for sure who's coming....

I already have a core committee set up now. Bear is in charge of the hotel - I will be taking care of the contract and arrangements, then after the contract is signed by Alex, Bear will be the hotel liaison.

Roadrunner and MizzDeaf will be overseeing the auditing - making sure all financial records are in order, the bank statements, the receipts all match up. I will still make the deposits and write the receipts as each payment comes in.

Angel and Cheri will be in charge of registration - they will take care of all the paperwork connected with the Caucus registrations. I will still take care of all the paperwork as they come in, and then forward them to Angel and Cheri to put in order.

The hospitably committee will be set up of the remaining AD Caucus 2005 attendances as the time comes closer.

The reason for setting this committee up is because I will be having knee replacement surgery next year, sometime in January or February of 2008, and I know I will need some help taking care of the arrangements.

good plan, Thats a brillant plan

Glad you brought those ideas up DreamDeaf! It will be benefit for some people to know what to do. :)

:applause: There´re BRILLIANT suggestion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :applause: You know what you are standing when you received the money from ADers.

That's a brilliant idea DreamDeaf!!! :applause: You and I think alike in many ways, scary isn't it? :giggle:

Wonderful.. That what I wanted best for everyone have to pull their pocket out and pay advance 100 bux deposit included... package except not cedar point. I'd rather them pay their own expense on buy ticket at group gate would be great though.

I've been there involved other members outside... and gathering their expense coverage deposit advanced which it's the best! Now I'm very happy w/DreamDeaf's statement well spoken!

Yay for DD. I am glad you got to the point where no one show up or you ended up paying it for nothing. I am glad this will be much better situation and smoother.

North Pole ? There's no such a " North Pole ". But, there's a name of city so called ' North Pole " - yep, there is. Lol

Anyways, it would be nice to go to Alaska. In summer time, the temperature is between 80 to 95 - more like in spring. Not too hot like the lower 48 states.

I know some people will say " No, it is tooo cold up there. I will not go " - they need to GO there to see it for themselves first before they say anythin'. Lol Get their own experiences by sightseein' and the feel of Alaska itself. They are more than welcome to take some pictures of sea lions, orcas, otters and so forth. Oh, yes eagles, too... etc., etc. Beautiful scenery out there, especially tallest and peak mountains. When I first rode on a ferry to take me to Juneau, Alaska back in 2002 - gee, I could feel the hair on my back standin' up when the ferry got closer to the tallest mountains on the both sides. I mean, it was really amazin' to see. It felt like I am in Bermuda Triangle in between Alaska and Canada waters. It would be better for people like ADers to see it with their own eyes... better than my own words to describe it. Seein' them with their own eyes have thousand of words. :)

I will wait for DreamDeaf to see what she has to say about goin' to Alaska in 2010. :fingersx:

That is soooooo BRILLIANT! IDEA! from DreamDeaf's. I like that idea :) .. cant wait go there next year more BLAST FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

Brilliant plan, DreamDeaf.. that will help big time... as I have spoken of this, if I do go, that would be my first major trip and I will have to think about some things to try to do something to ensure I am able to go... I'd love to be able to go and I will see what I can do ...

Splendid idea DD...

I'd like to go and once my vacation week is approved then I will head out to Ohio to meet again in Caucus. As it was mentioned in July 16-20 week as I seen the poll.. I'd need that confirmation that is official so I can put in a vacation request form early next year at work.

Count me in for AD Caucus 2008 :thumb:
