Black box batteries were dying.
Interesting reading, makes more sense then most of the stuff I have read. What is sad is this does not even make the news anylonger. Pretty scary stuff when a huge plane can just disappear. My daughter is flying from Ireland to Portugal next week, I know it's no where near there but it still frightens me.
I read one member said didn't think it from terrorist and believe it's an accident. I respect disagree. I knew it from terrorists's plan to hostage and lost the track to be commit suicide into Indian Ocean. The country of Malaysia's religions is Sunni Muslim same as Indoesnia. I doubt it is an accident. This is terrortism theories and motivated to be attack on people with commit a sucidies likes 9/11.
9/11 day in Sept 11, 2001. The victim used her cellphone to call her husband and said goodbye before hit into WTC buildings killed along with passengers and attendances and plot drivers.
I remember that I had a flight to home from San Antonio, TX in ten years ago. The attendance said I have to turn cellphone off during flight. I didn't understand why it's must be turn cellphone off after 911.
I'm wondering about Malaysia plane lost in track and radar while not allowed the passengers to use cellphone during emergency. The victims are not able to contact to family members for an emergency through their cellphones. That is so sad.
That is good to hear. Let hope and can find more black boxes and plane. Now it's dark and they will discover in the daytime.
I just read that the ping sounds may not be from the black box .
Re post. I want know about the cellphones for an emergency.
. Really? How about in land? I didn't go over the oversea yet but I had to start power off on my old sidekick in the flight. I didn't know that is no cell signal in oversea. How about the cell is on signal in the lands right?since it's oversea - there's no cell signal

Based on my experience, the cell signals were dead, dead, and dead on my flight trip across Pacific Ocean from Vancouver to Sydney.
It depends on how high or low the kHz of those discovered signals are. The standard beacon frequency of signals from the black boxes are 37.5 kHz more or less.
Let's hope the signals come from the boxes from MH370 so we will know what caused the flight went down.
I read an article about it the pings they heard are from what a black box uses and that particular frequency was chosen because no animal or anything else naturally occurring uses it.
I think black box is useless and airplane should use two ways GPS as tracker, cockpit voice recorder, flight data recorder and storage data info in the HQ's server as 24/7. Even pilots can't disable it like they can't disable black box. That's mean when airplane missing then use last GPS point from HQ's server to find exactly location where it went missing/crash.
