Advice about a friend's FB status

Hey..looks like I did the right thing. She sent me a PM saying that she totally forgot about me being deaf and will contact me once she finds out more information from the specialists. She said that she appreciates my comment.

YAY...........And I second rockin' robin's perspective....I think it's more " OMG losing my hearing" Like yeah, it's a lot harder to adjust to a loss of a sense, then it is to be born or early deafened.
It's good that your friend will have you for advice! Postlingal kids can benifit from dhh programs or summer camp. As a matter of fact there's a program at Gally for dhh kids to learn ASL, which would be awesome for her!

True..I guess all the comments bashing deafness got to me. I just hope everything works out for them.

Yea but wait and see what she says about the specialists. It could be a temporary thing because she didnt say how long ago she has lost it and how much. It just came out of the blue on her FB. She always posts statuses about her kids.
 
Pray for the child's wellbeing and that she find peace. Losing an ability later in life and all at once would be very traumatic.

I would leave the rest out, but maybe sometime in the future you can have a talk with your friend and share your feelings.

If I was you I would probably have congratulated her, just to make the people who commented on the status, who knew you, think.
