I had gone home last weekend to clean up two rooms (my sister's former room and my old room) so mom wouldn't have to worry about them this coming week (she can just focus on cleaning the main floor). That was my kindness to show mom that I love her and want her to not feel pressured.

Once, one christmas, my family was out shopping, I dropped some leftover coins from my purchase in the red bucket for salvation army. Mom said that was so kind of me.

I'm sure I've done several other kindnesses that others've seen me performed without my knowing it. I don't remember all the kindnesses I have done in my lifetime, but these are two of them (one recently, and one from my past that I'll always remember).

*hugs* thats so nice of you!!
(i used to be volunteer salvation army bell ringer in around holiday season for many years till i got out of hands with my little kids) hehe..

YAYAYYAYAYAY!!!!!!!! ANNIES DA CHAMP!!!!!!!!!!!!! U rock annie!!1 I can't belive all the kindness u have done! WOW im speechless!

I think this thread was made so that others would post their random acts of kindness that they have done, too.

Another act of kindness I have done:

My best friend was in her 3rd year of college. Until that point, she was so afraid to use computers. Her major is graphic design, so use of computer is complusory. She had a big deadline coming, and begged me to help her.

I agreed to help her. I went to her school with her, and we camped out in her computer lab all night long. I showed her how to use Photoshop, Illustrator, etc... Gave her a lot of feedbacks and ideas for her Australia project ideas and sure enough, by morning, she had a wonderful project for her class. She felt so much better after learning all the things I showed her on the computer from me. She wasn't afraid anymore and she is now hooked to the computer!

Just thought of more:

I have a 79 year old cousin, who I love dearly. She used to be a Child Study Team for Learning Disability, and used to know sign language. She started to forget some signs after a while, and last year, I started going to see her almost every Friday to tutor her in sign language. She always tell me so much about my family history and how life is back then. It is so fascinating!

Kindness... without any strings attached... :D

My parents and I were estranged for years, and we really never connected on a personal level. Hugging and _\m/'s were very rare, and reserved for rare days. :D

What really affected me was when my Dad at first disapproved of my long distance relationship with a man he knew I met online. I decided to not throw any blame or fight again with him ever again, and instead told him I always love him no matter what and nothing would change that. He was really shook up by the statement, and decided to support my relationship... it worked out really amazingly well, he loves my hubby like a son now :D

It's amazing how kindness and compassion can transform one's relationship... it can be a little tricky to know when you are just doing something people could get pissed off at you for... enabling or caretaking..
Hey Liza I met my man on line 4 years ago MY mom again it i told her i know what i am doing and i know what i wants. Few monthes later she really like my man cuz he is so nice and sweet. My mom is happy that i met him, soon he will be my hubby

So i ask old woman do u need any help she say yes so i did help her to got her ice cearm . then later she t ry give me tips i told her no thanks i am glad that i help you she smile and give me a hug :D I felt really good i did that worker should do it for her it her job but I see her mad and she try to got her again she just walk away how rude of her

There have been times here at work, people get stuck and don't have money for bus or soda, and I give them money from my own pocket. I figure I have a decent job and work 60 to 80+ hours a week, why not give a lil to someone who needs it.

Yes,,,, that what kindness are for.. :D

and does it make you feel great.. even if you have bad day.. or stress.. you give something out.. you feel great!
