A Thread About Absolutely Nothing! Part III

The move out is done. Now headed to my new place. First get a drink, then head there. :P Goodbye, nightmare.

How are you moving all your stuff? Not on your bike, I hope.

Blimey, no. I have someone who's driving me now. Everything is out, and I will never return there. I'm just thankful that I have the support I needed. Things are definitely looking up now.

The move is DONE. Home sweet home..... 5 months later. This new place is quite interesting. It has ALL the comforts of home I could possibly ask for. And my neighbor here has a kitty, and that's just perfect. Think I'm gonna like it here.

Enjoying relaxing at home on a Saturday evening with my husband. Even if we are also doing laundry! :)

I got some the other day.

They're not too bad- kind of hard to describe the taste but the cream is definitely not the same as regular oreos- a hint of cream cheese.

I found some at Walmart there pretty good I like them better than the regular. I did notice it smelled like a red velvet cake when I first opened them but like you said a hint of cream cheese not as rich as a real cake.

I got here at work when it is SNOWING real bad. Hope I will go home safe and sound when work is over. JOY

Just thought of something some of us, including me before retirement, used to do when having to park outside when it was snowing. That is cover at least the windshield and back window with a big sheet of plastic. Then when you leave you just remove the plastic and don't have to scrape windows.

yeah lot of people do that. I feel fortunately to have my own garage and at work, parking garage too.

I must have garage to park my car there.

Enjoy!!

What is CUS?? Most of us are not from Chicago. Do they have a Union Station? The only thing I have come up with is Chicago Union Station.

Yes, Chicago Union Station. That's the abbreviation for it.

Some of the following will not make sense because it is from a different forum but the guy that posted it expresses so well how I feel about abbreviations and acronyms.

"For me personally I hate acronyms. On this particular posting I think maybe that is where the problem started. I frequent motorcycle forums and gun forums and they are used there also. There are tons and tons of them out there. It would be so much better if people would just spell out what they are trying to say. Not picking on Kitty or anyone here , it`s become so commonplace on the internet and texting that people take it for granted that you know what they are saying when you fill your post with acronyms. Take this fwiw

People use it all the time in Chicago. It's common to use it here. It's also in the Amtrak ticket websites, and on the Metra schedules. It's fairly common.

I don't know 99.9% of the places and transportation routes he posts about in Chicago, and I've been there (long ago).

How many people at AD are in Chicago using Amtrak and Metra?

Same here, though I've been there a lot more recently than you.

It doesn't bother me because I don't usually need to know the details and if I did, I would just look up the info online. If not found, then I'd ask the poster (perhaps even by PM).
