i met a friend he says i look so hawaiian at first i thought i was mexican. It was hilarious that i think that. But then i ask my uncle he says that i am polynesian indian. Polynesia is near Hawaii. But my uncle said it mixture of hawaiian with polynesian indian. Strange eh? Plus i went research what Polynesian Indian is, it is mixture of German and other countries. I learn something new recently

I have been mistaken for Mexican quiite a few times and I have absulotely no Spanish blood. It could be from my Navajo Indian blood mixed with my European blood.

My cousin has two children that are half Navajo and they get mistaken for Hispanic all the time, despite their last names being 'Blake'. Her husband is full-blood Navajo. She absolutely cringes whenever someone will walk up to her kids and say 'Hola.'

yep some people are weird lol. I have some chinese in me but mostly Polynesian Indian/Hawaiian mixture

That's understandable you have the Asian blood line, I don't lol pure Mexican-American with 1/4 French.

My uncle is Puerto Rican and people thought he was half black and half white.

My son is half black and half white and people mistake him for Puerto Rican.

All of the the melting of ethnic backgrounds after so many years makes people start to look like each other!

Well, the Pastor at church just about floored me. I have been having issues on him not working with me regarding attending church. I had to take MIL to church this morning and he pulled me aside before service stated and again after service was done.

He asked if I knew any ASL yet. I told him I was still learning and it was slow. He then asked what he could do to make it easier for me right now. I said, if I could get some kind of outline of his sermon in writing that would be beneficial. We had a guest Pastor today so I couldn't get anything for today, but he is planning on working with me now. He also asked me to let him know who he needs to call to see about getting a terp for the service. Seems we now have, not including me, 7 HOH people in the church and all know sign language. All seven are from Jamaica. Also, the Pastor has admitted that his hearing is getting worse. HE is going to see about having someone come out and use the church fellowship hall for an ASL class. They would make it no charge for me. HE also asked if there was anything else he could do in the meantime. I mentioned that it would help if his outline could be put into the power point or whatever they use every Sunday. I have given his name to the Pastor from Missouri who was so helpful and is willing to help this Pastor here in Florida.

I'm telling you, you could have knocked me over with a feather after that conversation. Oh, he used a computer to type up his questions and answers for me as well.

I agree with you on that!. although i dont like nickname but my sisters give me that nick when i eat pasta almost on daily basis when i was kid.
