our shed collapsed a long time ago from a neighbor's dying tree (very tall and old too) . We all told her to have it cut down because it was shredding branches everywhere. Well on a very windy day, one of the the limb fell off right on our shed and punctured a huge hole on the roof. We tried to get them to cover the cost but no luck so we were just like, forget it. So instead we told her that her tree is dying and one of these days it will fall on someone's house. Whose? I don't know, but it won't be ours because we are too far off from it even though our backyard shed isn't. sigh, It is still there.

interestingly enough --

If it's ugly, you can pay them $3000 to take it down... your house value might go up $10-15,000... maybe more depending where you live..
 
We also told her that as much as the branches keep falling off, that tree will fall on our backyard and our son could be playing in the backyard and he could get hurt.

I don't have $3000 :(

yeah, there is nothing I can do about it. other than just wait and see.. and keep our son out of that area. If it punctured our shed once, it will do it again especially I have to keep picking up little branches and longer branches all the time.
