A Solder Threw A Puppy Away

Puppy Death?

It is under investigation.

If it turns out to be true, I don't believe these two soldiers are worthy of wearing the Red, White and Blue anymore and should be promptly dishonorably discharged.
 
I'm not surprised that soldier will be Michael Vick's roommate in the jail, and serve long years than him.

I wasn't able to click on the links. But, from what I read elsewhere the guy who threw the puppy was discharged from the army. I don't know if the puppy was dead, but I guess throwing an animal is the easy way to get out of the army.

an appearent discepancy is in the audio of the puppy yelping as it is airborne. though the dog is moving away from the camera, the sound does not diminish or fade.

i would agree with posts and its really sicko!

im sure soliders and military must kept pets all the times they wont throw the animals! if hates the pets that would be very disrespectives!

A soldier is supposed to set an example and to follow it accordingly. This is not an example for them to do such thing like this. it is. Im not defending this piece of shit for his heinous actions--and in his actions he SHOULD be punished accordingly. However from my point of view, you cant honestly be shocked by something like this happening. We read as a nation almost daily how traumatized our soldiers become from just being over there. The mental and physical stress of doing their jobs, obviously youre going to develop some headcases. Its not a cakewalk over there, theyre constantly defending their lives, watching people and fellow soldiers die, on guard 24/7 while being overworked for too long. A soldier averages and i repeat AVERAGES only 5 hours of sleep. Now if someone was to be deployed for 6-12 months, that certainly does add up and you cant be suprised that some people just quit giving a fuck and just snap at a moments notice. The mental health numbers are staggering and the military for the most part ignores it. Whats a puppys life when youre constantly wondering if youre going to make it 'til tmw? 'til next week? To watch your baby daughter grow up when you have an assignment to drive a humvee through the Anbar province? (always a hotbed for insurgents) War is hell, certainly not pretty and in this day and age this "puppy throwing" is just a sneak peak with the technology being available.

That being said, i hope hes thrown in the brig, and dishonorably discharged so he can deal with his issues, but still....

Also, if there is going to be an outcry for prosecution on this, people better damn well prosecute EVERYONE ELSE who does the same thing, whether it's a soldier or not.

The real news is stuff like this happens every day.

Not that we should ignore this, but things like this will happen, folks. We might like to set soldiers to a higher standard, and we should. But they are still human beings, and there will always be bad ones.

If you want something done, do it for ALL. Do it for ALL the thousands of animals killed and tormented every day. Do it for ALL the victims of domestic violence and rape that happen EVERY SECOND OF A DAY.

Don't just forget about things until a convenient case comes up. If you are going, then take it all the way. It might not be pleasant, but it matters.

in WW2 , they used german shpeards and obermanns to assist the war, horwing ou the pupy could be a mistake costing their own lives..... dumbarse them soldiers, or even if not desirable on heir mission they could have ransfered to another unit, better yet do that, then drop out the dog o give away to civilian.....

The soliders in the video are dumbarses, or even if not dogs are not desirable or useful for their particular mission instead of sheed stupid cruelity, they could have transfered the dogs to another unit, better yet instead of doing that, they could donate or drop out the dog, like giving away to civilians whose really needed hope.....

They are utter bastards these irresponsible soliders, cruel shitheads and I hope they die a painful war death

I understand where you're coming from on that stance. We all know that war is hell, there's no question about that. Whether the soldiers are traumatized on a daily basis and trying to stay alive; It is all about how they should have used different way to snap rather than throwing the puppy out like a cold hearted maniac. Yes, maybe to some, a puppy is just a small matter in a war zone than anything else. However, in the video - it certainly didn't look like the soldiers were snapping in anger. They were laughing and throwing the puppy over the cliff. Now, before you go on this, I am not degrading how the soldiers perform their job accordingly over in the war zone - All I am saying that they are supposed to set an example for their fellow country-people. But yeah, still - It is heinous and they need to have a mindset before they do the crime.
