A Gun Thread About Absolutely Nothing!

You ganna get something smaller for every day carry with your CCW or are you bringing that canon everywhere? :rl:
LOL 9mm will probly be my carry but I will be getting a sub compact for carry, this full size will be my side arm for hunting.

nice one. it was recommended by my friend (gun seller) for me for CCW purpose based on my needs.
Yes, same here, but some are saying its harder to conceal? I will see before I get a compact. Just bought a starter kit $50
includes gun safe, safety glasses, ear protection ( whyy) lol
targets, cleaning kit, gun case, carry all bag.

Forgot to say, I got a good deal on the pistol, originally $589, got it on sale for $450, cant beat it at all, online Im seeing the same one for $600+

It won't be hard to conceal especialy now that the weather is getting colder except when it's really hot out. Where I work I have to bend over a lot of machines and pick up lumber and do other stuff that involves a lot of stretching and bending. No way I could conceal a holstered gun. Not even an inside the waist band one. In situations like that the pocket gun is awesome. Or family events with lots of hugging.

Well I hope to shoot the new AK this weekend. I've got a little bit of borrowed ammo. Other than that I have a 10/22 and a variety of handguns. :D

that it's very difficult for a regular folk to open one in NJ and if they finally did... they usually go out of business several years later due to new restrictive laws whenever mass shooting happens. we just lost another one near my home. I don't even know if we've ever had any "new" gun shop opening up in this state.

setting up my Field case for the range

I was once driving my dog Finlay to the park and there was a gun like your right in the road I was  and was just about ride my car over the gun to hide it put my hazards lights on and park my car . There was store close by I was going to have them call 911 for me. Then out of no where a car cut me off and a woman stopped her car and jumped out her car picked the gun and run back to her car and speed off. I was like WTF! The woman was dress like a some FBI woman she had on dark suit and was very fit. I stopped at store and had them call 911 anyway and a police came right out and I him what just happen and he looked around to see if there was kind of evidence and he said I tried to do the right thing by trying hide the gun by pulling my car over it. I didn't want to touch it b/c I had no idea if it been used in a crime. The whole thing was like out of a movie to me , seeing a gun right in the middle of the road . Most people don't believe me when I tell them this but at least the police did.

I didn't know that you could put guns on lay-away. Interesting.
Yes, most of the gun shops and sporting good stores will put it in layaway for 20% down and give you anywhere from 30-90 days to pay it off.
I did my pistol that way on a 30 day, I put half down and paid off the following month.

Passed my CCW class, no problems at all. Now to submit and get the permit.

Wife and I spent the day at the new range $31 for the both of us to shoot the entire day plus what ever ammo we bought. We could come and go all day long and it was just the $31 fee to get in ( $21 for the first person and $8 for each additional person plus tax ) so an entire day for 2 people $31 was not bad at all. We ate at the restaurant inside for $17, had BBQ ribs, potatoe salad and baked beans... then shot some more. They had an ammo store on premises, also a gun/ammo shop across the street ( ammo was cheaper there @ $10 a box compared to their $15 a box.., so we opted to go to the gun shop for ammo.
We shot from 8am til close at 6pm. Had a wonderful time, and enjoyed teaching her proper stance, holding techniques... she was grouping fairly tight, and even hit the bullseye with my pistol on her first shot... we didnt see where it hit and brought the target in ( thought she missed it completely ) NOPE, it was dead on Bullseye ! wow

Just got back from the courthouse/sheriff office, applied for my permit... Now the waiting game to pick it up.

Interesting how different the process is in each state.

When TCS and I got our CCW permits all the process was done in one day, and then we just had to wait for the permit to be mailed to us. The process was, go to the gun range, pay our fee, get photographed and fingerprinted, and fill out the application form. Then, we took the 8-hour course (same location), which included classroom instruction, written test, lunch break, gun training, firing range practice and firing test. Then, if we passed the tests, the results were sent with the fee, form, fingerprints, and photo to SLED (South Carolina Law Enforcement Division) in Columbia (state capital). After SLED did the background check, the permit cards were printed and mailed to us.
