If I wanted a Custom made laptop the specific componets below would meet my needs!

  • 4 GB Ram
  • 320GB HDD (Hard Drive)
  • Wireless LAN intergrated - They're great
  • Pet. 4
  • 4 USB drive
  • DVD/CD-RW Burner
  • 17" Widescreen
  • Intergrated high qauility camera
  • Network cable drive
  • Monitor plugger (Whatever it called) to plug for a external LCD screen for extra pleasure ;)

But If I were you, I'd purchase a external Hard Drive (OR Book) so you don't have to worry about losing these important files :)

For me, brand names doesn't matter. I dont really care about brands, as long it is nice and powerful ;)

I would want the most recent video card, the highest RAM, fastest network card, and fastest processor.

I forget to saying add: Keep in mind, You must looking The two most important components Laptop for capable upgrade of Memory (256MB-2GB) & Hard drive (20GB to UP) in case future you will need. Plus Better/ Powerful graphics card with load up the video memory with at least 256MB.

I don't notice if AquaBlue need laptop for 3D games, if he don't need it then laptop with dedicated video card is unnessescary and Intel GMA would be good so enough for people who don't want run 3D games on laptop.

I would rather to use desktop PC to play 3D games because of laptop with dedicated graphic card cause alot of heat and eat more battery, even damage on logic board (more often on ATI card), I feel like getting sick of playing games on laptop sometime, also I'm not debate with you.

Aero feature on Vista is full compatible (all smooth) with Intel GMA if when CPU is Core 2 Duo.

ABSOLUTELY YES Video card is high quality graphic solution to suit their necessary!! not just intenseive games, for photographic, graphic engineer, movie editing , or watch movie. UH-DUH! Therefore, You are beyond ignorant about laptop, because you arent experince with laptop for years and years.

Right now, I am hardcore laptop since 2001. My laptop is third now ( first laptop's memory was very limited, I upgraded from first to second which is capable of any upgrade. unforunate my second laptop was broke as accidently dropped it. I replaced new advanced laptop which is my third almost like the replacment desktop). My third laptop is so far as excellent! Wow I can't believe that I still using laptop without desktop PC for years . I will go to supreme advanced notebook soon. Because I have load of experiences with notebooks. Excuse me, you called ignorant to me and you just don't know about me without asked question. That what you calling me is wrong because I'm using laptop in some part since 2002, also I'm currently using MacBook Pro right now.

You forgot to mention about important is CPU too. HD video are playable on Intel GMA, also photographer and video edit don't need dedicated graphic card either.

New Intel platform is coming soon to able run BD movies without dedicated graphic card, speaking of insult me and you don't have full experience about that too. :roll:

Most laptop on market are come with intragated graphic card.
 
Forgot to mention that, graphic card is least important if you aren't gamer or graphic design, you really can't use it for nothing than both of them.

Watch DVD movies, photograph, video edit (entry level of graphic card like GeForce 8400 and ATI Radeon 2400 are preferred) and other programs are fine with integrated graphic card.

Also, laptop with better graphic card would eat alot of battery too.

I'm Mac user because I OWNED iMac (all in one desktop) and MacBook Pro (laptop), even both of them can be part of PC due x86 support, I had installed Vista via BOOTCAMP, you need get your butt off to google it up. You made no sense if I'm Mac PC user or whatever, even I'm laughing at your damn post.

Wow, you are ignorant about CPU isn't #1 important, CPU is ALWAYS #1 most important to run OS so well, slower CPU like Celeron and VIA does affect stability and speed of OS, RAM is next of important after CPU, however both of them in combined can be so important.

I have the full MS Office 2007 suite here - all 14 applications.

Also, I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 on a 4-yr-old Dell Dim 8400 - no issues with it.

XP will be pulled out of the retail shelves on June 30th, 2008. Yes, even if there were a 100,000-signed petition to save XP, Microsoft's *still* not swayed by that and will still pull XP out.

Oh and to XP users, there will be a SP3 coming on April 29th.
