A 4-Wheels Thread About Absolutely Nothing!

Yeah, I am not sure about beyond F-550 6.4L was replaced from 6.0L I have seen 650, 750 and they are huge.

I almost opt for F-350 because they seems to be lil cheaper and more common than F-250. I decided that F-250 just right size for me because I don't do towing on daily basis, so no point of getting bigger one with same engine. I avoided Dualley, tires can be expensive. Minimum cost per tire for Super Duty trucks is 200 dollars.

I check Alldata repair infro about the F550 to see if they are big diesel engine. No, same 6.4L use in F250-F550. Weird, new to me.

Explain me of what wet towel do you use? You waste labor time. However, you can use brake cleaner spray can to shoot the dirty off the oil filter cap prior to loose the cap. No matter what you see the dirty or dust covered the cap, use your common sense to do with the dirty area. I go with air gun to blow the dirty off. Save clean shop towels and brake cleaner cans.
You have to replace O- seal on the cap. You see green band on the oil filter cap, is O-seal.Always replace O- seals and washer gaskets (drain plugs) depend on sign of detrorate washer gaskets.

The shop cotton towels from my workplace that I can use it for clean used oil on the How can I waste labor time? The air gun is waste of time that you have to pull the hose then keep pull to pull till lock then looking for an air nozzle to connect the hose. (There is only one hose for air impact and tire inflator.) So that's mean I have to waiting for other tech to finish with air impact or tire inflator. Forget it! Wet towel is simple and quick. Keep in mind, I am allergic of dust and I HATE to see dust in the air that make me cough or itch my eyes. My workplace do clean up our shop cotton towel to reuse again and again. There is no waste. The brake cleaner can is waste of labor time because it will slip on the floor then you have to clean floor with soap and water by yourself. That's right, I never use brake cleaner can too. I am agreed with you about brake cleaner can.

Not my problem, Part dept just gave me a oil filter without o-seals for GM but they do gave me a oil filter with o-seal for japanese. I am not going waste my time to talk to part dept unless they gave me a wrong part.

LOL, "Rig" mean diesel truck. They could have asked what model, I would be happy to answer, and I also EVEN give hint "gas can't do this" There are no diesel engine in F-150. Only F-250 or higher has the Diesel engine (F-250/350 has three engine options, while F-450 or higher only offer Diesel engine).

Rig do not find in a dictionary. Again, We had no idea what you talk about it. Please use real word from dictionary, Not your own dictionary.

There is diesel engine in F-150.

Um, some people prefer to drive a diesel truck just for commuting to work. My friend has a 4 door Ford diesel truck because he's a tall guy needed comfortable ride. Nothing wrong with that. There's no need to pick on Diehardbiker about his choice. Some people may drive a minivan but don't have children...for good reasons.

A rig is a large truck, usually an 18 wheeler. so I knew what he meant...it is a commonly used word...it also has several other meanings.

Understand, fine with me. Good for you and highlander or everybody. Not me. Hey, highlander someday you will read the repair procedure for mechanical works, you will see the word "air gun" is for blow dirty or debris off prior to the mechanical works.

I will follow a info if it said "air gun" then I will do it. I used air gun for automatic transmission before. Do the info real said to use air gun for change a oil?

Cool. We called it. Semi-truck.

time to build a new dictionary, son.

You know, modern life, people use short words in a basic conversation.

Urban Dictionary: rig

Can't find a dictionary. :Dunno:

I don't think it's modern life since tousi and mr.die are around 20 years older than me.

one thing that DHB is wrong - "rig" is not "diesel truck".... it means a big truck. or can be used as a slang to show off your awesome vehicle or computer or invention or etc - "hey check out my rig! <insert Tim Allen's grunt>"

Exactly, I am somewhat tall guy, I hate driving small car or general car. I hate getting in these cars, even getting out of it. Truck is just perfect for me, and I am home owner and I do all maintenace and repairs on my house. I don't hire contractor. So having truck met my needs. I am not here to have ego trip. I bought this truck for comfort of my family, and my personal reason.

Friend of mine has Land rover, I thought he is nuts, but I understand that it is his preferance. I still consider him my good friend. So bottom line is that it is just personal preferance.

I used to drive Diesel before and this is my second vehicle and I love it.

Yeah, I would love to own a truck whenever I have my own house someday.

Real electrician drive a van as E250 or up.

E250 is more space for parts than truck's bed.

He's not a real electrican. He said SOMETIMES...which mean help his friends with electrical work. He has the certificate to work on electrical stuff.
