80% of Deaf Culture tends ~ please vote~

Is it true 80% of Deaf Culture tends to gossip, manipulate, lies, stalk & threat?

I wouldn't say about 80%, but about 75% true. lol
 
without looking at the % since I don't believe 80% of Deaf/HoH people intend to backstabbing, lying, gossiping, etc..so I voted ' Yes '.... :smash:

That's what I'm disagree about high%.

Should we talk only deaf culture? I think it's unfair to point the finger on Deaf, that's why I has to compare between hearing & deaf culture.

I agree that there is no difference in amount of gossiping within both worlds. Although, I noticed that gossip in deaf world are more brutal than hearing because deaf people tend to use the gossip in harmful ways compared to hearings.

Just my 2 cents! :wave:

Right! But please read carefully,,,it just for deaf culture to vote..Im not saying against deaf culture...

I know that both cultures are same way but I want to prove it to my man that deaf culture are like that also!

Yes, I admit I accidently voted yes. I should have voted no. But I am not sure what you are trying to say in your first sentence. "it just for deaf culture to vote..." Are you saying only deaf are allowed to vote? Well I am deaf... unless you meant something different?
 
I ain't voting. It's a public poll.

Anyway, I would still have to say that it's true. It happens here all the time. If I attend a hearing GLBT meeting, the members there treat me with respect and as a supporter without assuming that I'm gay. However, if I attended a deaf GLBT meeting... the members would quickly assume I was gay. Even if I admit that I'm straight, they will think that I'm actually hiding in the closet and afraid to admit that I'm gay. :(

What Im saying is for you to vote of what you think of deaf culture only...not hearing culture...dont worry about hearing culture...

I want to hear what you think about deaf culture alone...forget the hearing culture...:D

I want my man to see that deaf culture are similar as hearing culture...so he will gasped big time...now I see the yes and no are almost similar...he will see that we all have our own opinions...oh well...
 
I vote yes, Becuase i had experience with deafies, they just want to get some attention or making people's looking bad.. that's sooo STUPID and immature.. who get better than others.. oh come on.. Nobody can be so PERFECT.. but i add this.. Hearing people also can do the same thing but i would say.. hearing have too many mature to face it, Deaf just dont do that, just scared and ran away never solve the problem.

Really??? I find it interesting in what you said...I seen it opposite with hearing people...

Ive seen hearing people run away and not face it...and deaf people some run or face it...when they run away, they will come around then face it...lol

ummm i think its both...hearing and deaf culture both face or run away...it depends on individually...whatcha think?
 
I voted yes, and I talk from experience. The deaf world is so small, it's like in your family almost every family member know about you, only deaf people aren't your family and if they disagree with you in any way, they will try to ruin your reputation. And the BS goes on and on, it's pathetic. In the hearing world, they'll forget about you sooner or later and move on.

Think hard and compare from this time...

Long ago, maybe you have a deaf enimes and you just want to simply forget and move on but do your deaf friend want to move on? they just want to see you to suffer what person had terrible, jealous, mostly of deaf don't want to move on unless you do something really wake them up.

Hearing people will just simply forget whole this shit and move on.. it's get short of life.. but rember it's not alway everybody in the world.. it's depend what issues.

Well, about deaf lady hurt me and him...no way i wont forget until i get proof then prove it to him then im satisfied then its all up to his decision! then i move on! :D
 
I'm afraid I've come across a lot of deaf people who do tend to lie, and manipulate things so they can get their own way. They're very focused on making everyone believe what they believe, and I do believe a wide majority of deaf people who regularly mix with other deaf people are like this, but not all of them are. Some of them stay away from those people.

The hearing world is full of people who do this, but with the deaf community being so much smaller, you're bound to come across more of those people than you are with hearing people.
 
I seen Deaf people have bullshit talent in ASL or whateva in Deaf Community... I realized I got bore in the second time I met Deaf guy... I would like to talk about philosophy, socialogy, Movie "pulp fiction" and so on... Deaf guy said it was bore to them... so figure!

:o just what i was thinking too Alex! LOL

but yes it applies to BOTH deafies and hearies only thing different there is that the deafies tend to dwell over n over n over without really accepting the concept that opinions CAN differ regardless if its the way of life a person live or philosophy might be different or whatever
