Those natural disasters caused by Mother Nature are not the problem as they have been natural occurrences for centuries. We are the ones who created this problem.

Over-population of certain areas along the fault lines is the sole problem or reason for a high causality rate. Over-populated areas along the fault lines, such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, Mexico City, Tokyo, Madrid, and many others, are ripe for made-made disasters caused by those natural occurrences.

Regardless of all what I stated above in my post, I pray for the people whose lives are affected by tsunami wave.

This earthquake was 3,000 times stronger than the 1989 San Francisco quake.

There is a risk to one of Japan's nuclear reactors overheating. They're evacuating the area. They will release radioactive vapor to relieve the pressure.

I'm concerned about its damaged nuclear power plant :Ohno:

Oh no! :( i feel bad for those people lives there who are affected by everything that are damaged.

I saw news about it this morning. I deeply sympathies for the people in Japan. I heard that the death toll is having more than 400 there.

I am wondering any deaf people in Japan got hurt or lost their life?

This is so sad all my thought all those people i mean wow look how it badly that is I'm concerned for all this and they are in my prayer hope god can help them this hurt with all my might heart for those poor children. :(

No severe hit in San Francisco yet. They hit Santa Cruz, and Crescent City which is about an hour north/south of San Francisco. I am still keeping an eye on it until tomorrow.

Not sure if this is real...

Edit:
Not real. But still amazing to look at.

3,000......

Wirelessly posted

My heart breaks, I have a deaf friend there. We haven't heard any word from him. I met him through my friend, we took him around socal

The pre-Tsunami "suck-out" was eerie here. Tide went down 100 feet in less than 5 minutes. Damage is very minor so far....

My prayers are with the people in Japan

Now there's a radioactive leak at their nuclear plant.

Is that something to release its vapor in order to cool the overheating correct??

no there's no leak. leaking and releasing are not the same.

Stfu. I'm not in the mood for you today. I'm going with what I'm hearing on BBC. They are intentionally leaking to help cool it down and the radiation is 1000 times its normal level. Hopefully they'll fix it before it gets worse.

That's what I read recently. ok thanks!

it's best not to cause confusion.

Japan’s nuclear safety agency attributed the expected release of vapor to pressure inside one of six boiling water reactors at the plant rising to 1.5 times the level considered normal, according to The Associated Press. Yuichi Nagano, the deputy manager of Tokyo Electric’s Washington office, said the vapor would be slightly irradiated, though it would pass through filters before being vented. The nuclear safety agency said the release should not pose a threat to people’s health.

At least two other Japanese nuclear plants also reported trouble, but there was no radiation leak at either of them, government officials said. A number of nuclear reactors around the hardest-hit area of the country were shut down, and Japanese news media said a fifth of the country’s total nuclear generating capacity was offline because of the quake.
