7 year old girl abducted from my sisters apartment complex!( Updated 12.5.11)

He didn't even last 48 hours. I would think new prisoners are under suicide watch ... whoever slipped up .... :ty:
 
Nobody is a winner in this but at least he wont harm any more children.

It doesn't. But Sheriff Roger Garrison told the DoC to put him on suicide watch - they take stuff away from you that you can hang yourself with when put you on suicide watch (your shoe laces being one such item).

I am guessing he was never put on suicide watch and had his shoelaces.

The other question I have is ... where was he able to hang himself from - prison cells are designed to prevent hangings.
 
I'd like to say I feel bad for him - but I don't. I feel sorry for his family, if they cared about him at all.

I don't know how a 20 year old gets as depraved as he was, to rape and torture and kill a little girl. Who knows if he committed suicide due to being overwhelmed by guilt, or horror at himself, or at the thought of spending perhaps the next 60 years of his life in jail and thinking death would be a far easier thing to do than that. Or a combination of all of the above.

All over now. They will investigate, and he will end up being barely a footnote in history, while the little girl's family will miss her forever.

why are you obsessing over shoe laces? it's not the only thing you can hang yourself with. there are blanket, tshirt, pants, etc. and you can hang yourself with bed frame or sink.

articles stated that it was unclear whether or not if he was in suicide watch room.

according to his testimony, he stated he never raped her. just that he beat her senselessly and cut her throat. I vomited (in my head) as I read his testimony.

Those items are taken away from a prisoner on suicide watch (as I previoulsy mentioned).

You are still missing the big picture. The DoC was told by Sheriff Roger Garrison to put him on suicide watch.

Most child predators were sexually abused as children. That is no excuse because a person can choose to get help and heal. I'm saying that sexual abuse is rampant in our society and we are failing to protect the most vulnerable--primarily children and the elderly.

BG, if someone offers to keep your kids, ask why the person is so anxious to be helpful. My kids are never left alone with coaches, scout leaders, etc. Unfortunately, some predators use this positions to groom children for sexual abuse. The same with violent or mentally unstable family members.

During his time at the Cherokee County Jail, Brunn was on suicide watch, his attorney, Daran Burns told 11Alive News' Valerie Hoff Thursday morning.

"Typically someone comes into custody and its a case of this nature, as a matter of precaution, the detention center will have them on watch for their own safety," Burns said.

It is was not immediately known whether or not Brunn was on such a watch at the Jackson State Prison.

What you have said is not factual. Blah blah blah - the rubber-glue argument again?

Brunn was on suicide watch at the Cherokee County Jail - when transferred, the Sheriff releases that information to the prison officials transferring the prisoner, and "COMMON SENSE" dictates that the prisoner would continue to be put on suicide watch.

Why we are even having this discussion is beyond me.
